Opinions on Mitsubishi Evo IX?

I think the spoiler really compliments the car, but I was considering buying another trunklid without the spoiler since a few people have done that and swap the trunklids as they please. However, at this point I don't have a reason to drop the money for that.

in my opinion, cars look better without spoilers. Youre cars gonna look SICK if u get rid of it. But whatever, sick car...better than mine....a little jealous.

^ It's all good. I'm jealous of my friends who have a Mercedes C55 AMG and an Acura NSX, even though I will bitchslap them in every car category possible except for ability to attract high-maintenance whores.

However, I do like spoilerless WRXs and STis.

Keep the spoiler. The Evo spoiler is beautiful, the black wing part looks tight, sets it off real nice.

Why would you lower a rally car, it really makes no sense. Well for the ride height it is already at.

What do you and your friends do for a living.

I'm a college student finishing up his last quarter :) plus I'm a host/bartender at a nice restaurant. I might give the insurance industry a try since a friend of mine who is involved in that is doing quite well and has offered me a position there.

As for my friends, the guy with the C55 AMG is into real estate and makes assloads of money and already owns his own house, and the guy with the NSX worked at Microsoft for almost an entire year, and now he's going to Stanford law school.

yo, i just raced your car on the highway...i got CRREAAMMEEDD. I was goin like 180 km/h and your car just zoomed by me. It didnt take much for the guy to win. I had my pedal to the floor and everything. The whole race took like 3 min before i realized that there was no way i could win.

ah, you finally got your "dream" car...makes me feel bad that i wont be getting mine anytime soon....mmm....a black 06 GTO...hood scoops, and a spoiler.....damn....congrats though on the car....i know a kid that has the same one, but in a darker blue...i hear him whizzing by everyday....i can only assume that he enjoys it....but alotta people talk about his car...jealous...

Pella, what do you drive?

By the way, I'm at 574 miles... 26 more to go before the owner's manual says that I can safely let her rip ;)

nice, id love either that or a mustang gt
Not a bad car, but I hope you don't really plan on any hard cornering. The Mustang GT is basically a decent V-8 with a dated suspension, poor American build quality, and retro looks to spark interest in aging baby boomers desperate to relive their youths in the midst of their midlife crises. But the new GT500 is pretty awesome, minus the suspension.

Aristotle, this is the most we have ever agreed on things :thumb:

I really wish that cheap American V-8 "musclecars" (Mustangs, Camaros, etc.) would just go the way of the dodo bird already, especially with this onslaught of retro styling that has only just begun. I wish it had stopped with that terrible Thunderbird from a few years ago.

isnt that bad for your engine? Revving her up to the red line i mean.

^No but if its a new car you usually safe to wait a specified amount of miles set by the manufacturer before you do any hard driving. Pretty much to let the car break in. After that you can do whatever really, if you know what you're doing.

Lol, I didn't really notice, or pay attention, lol. But :thumb: .

Seriously, I mean even that "amazing" Z06 still has leaf springs in the rear, its like wtf. Talk about outdated. American car makers need to look abroad at like Porsche for example. Not the greatest amount of power in their cars but they still keep up because they know how to put the power on the road and make the car balanced nad able to turn. The new Corvette' 0-60 and quarter mile might be up to par almost but they are still way behind in actually making a car that can do it all, not just drive straight fast.

Actually, the new C6 seems to be doing rather well in the corners. Its leaf springs are archaic, yes, but they do seem to work now.

the complaints about american cars :(

why should the american companys do anything different.. because in the end your still going to say "its still american"

if handling is what your looking for.. thats what the aftermarket is for. american cars arent the best out of the factory obviously.. but its awhole lot cheaper to put them on par with foreign powers

and this is coming from some who loves the import scene... fuck that cars in general
