Post up some pics...How much was it?
Just so you know, MSRP is $31,399 + $595 destination charge... I got it for $28,599 with destination already included

Then add your usual tax, title and licensing fees and it gets to a bit over $30k.

By the way you'll beat STi's if you are a good driver, you are like 0.1 fast in 0-60 and the same for quarter mile I believe, haha, but nice have fun.
I will most definitely beat an STi, since the two cars have always been pretty evenly matched in terms of acceleration since the Evo was released in the U.S. in 2003, but the Evo has had two slight performance revisions since then, first in 2005 when ACD was added and hp and torque went up to 276 and 286, then again in 2006 when hp and torque went up to 286 and 289, while the STi's changes have been minor (addition of yaw sensor in 2005, wider rear track, and DCCD torque split change from 35/65 to 41/59 or something in 2006 and lighter suspension components). The addition of MIVEC (Mitsubishi's version of variable valve timing) spices up the low-end torque significantly. A friend of mine has a stock 2004 STi, and I'll probably race him from a roll since we'd both have the advantage of an AWD launch, making it irrelevant to put our transmissions and clutches through such abuse.
And I certainly am a good driver. I'm no expert and by no means in the upper echelon of street drivers, but ever since I was 16 I really tried to understand the proper ways of driving a manual transmission car and experimented with them... double-clutching, rev-matching, heel-toeing (which is ridiculously easy in this car in comparison to the Civics and Preludes that I taught myself on), etc.

The cars are so evenly matched that you won't notice the difference. 0.1 is nothing.
However the Mitzi's are more tuneable.
Kind of true... but edmunds.com says that the power delivery of the Evo IX is much better. Although the Evos are a lot more responsive to mods, I plan on leaving it stock for a while. There have been a lot of warranty denials due to simple mods, so I'd rather not risk losing the 10-year/100,000 powertrain warranty, among the others.
