I was wondering if anyone knew what material was being bootlegged while he was still alive. I am taking a chance here, but I wanna say that some Pac songs were being bootlegged all they way back to 1994. Any particular titles of tracks that were circulated would be helpful. I am under the general impression that I am asking a relavant question. Seeing how Tupac reacts in Thug Immortal helped in sparking this idea. Thanks in advance for any info. -Pete

P.S. -Dante's timeline that so many people refer to would probably answer this question. Too bad I didn't start visiting his site until the last days of it's existence.

im just taking a guess here but his main albums were bootlegged of course and when i use to go into record stores thered be tapes of remixs of his songs that were done by djs all over before this net shit took off......but after his death was when it really took off

i think it was dante who said some stuff started to circulate before his death. 1994 sounds early though but i dunno. im sure it was just album promos and stuff that circulated. i would think that white people had a hard time getting them though lol if they were sold at swap meets and the likes.

One Pac definitely knew about was Runnin since it was released as a single, against his will, before he died.

that therefore makes it a release, and not a bootleg

that a question cause i was thiunkin the same thing i was thinkin some rares song were and proably are on mxtapes from 91-95 since mixtapes would alway put unrealsed song from artist but there is noi access to this that i know of i was tryin to look up old mixtapes but they dont have no site that i know off with tapes from 91-95 era but that proably where some of this people that have pre death row rares got there shit from.

Pac wasn't big on the mixtape thing, he did a few tracks like the Ron G one but wasn't really a regular like Biggie was for example

what do white people have to do with collecting 2pac album promos?

no i know that he was big on the mix tape what i mean was b4 early 90 dj mixtapes would realease alot of unrealsed material or song that dint make the albums. they still do it now. But b4 it would b a mixtape with alot fo different artist for example ron g would realease a mixtape and i would have a song from alot of different artist. now most dj reales a mixtape with mosty one crew on it like whoo kid alway with g unit shit on it. So my point was there most b some rare unrealesd shit on old mixtapes. Only the old school peeps on this board would know that . Oru peepe that been buyin mixtape since 91

if so then unreleased songs would have tags over them

the only Pac tracks with tags are some of the Motion and Express tapes from 97

I was told that Enemies With Me was being circulated in 1994. Along with 'some other ones.' I was just wondering if anyone else had an idea what other songs were unreleased / circulating before his death. And no my source is real and I didn't say Enemies With Me because the tag, I am referring to the old version. -Peter

it was a joke lol. i'm filled with self-irony. bank robber you snot gobbler, i thought you loved me :( radio djs got album promos before the albums were released back then too, right? thats what i meant. somebody knew somebody who knew somebody's sister whose uncle's brother was a dj at a radio station and thats how it spread. i just made a guess anyway lol.

Theres a video of Pac threatening to burn down a stand where some guy is selling 2pacalypse Now on a streetcorner.

As far as bootlegging unreleased songs, I cant think of any. But I would assume the leak was at DeathRow since they are the ones who leaked half his shit in the first place.

So probably in December 1995, when AEOM was pressed, some other songs could have been leaked to the bootleggers who ALWAYS manage to get the albums first.

Pac did a few songs with Nate Dogg, Warren G, etc. in 1994 (Pour Out A Lil Liquor, Definition of A Thug Nigga, How Long Will They Mourn Me) those were property of DeathRow. (Pour Out Liquor is on DeathRows greatest Hits)

So maybe when those songs were recorded, Death Row got ahold of some other Thug Life songs and leaked them.
