Nah not this match, but the 4-1 vs. Russia was down to poor Russian defending, really. And the 2-1 vs Sweden was by the skin of their teeth.

And their play overall hasn't really impressed me. Individual quality, sure, but it's not (yet?) a team.

Very tough to call. On paper, I wouldn't dare to make a guess. Germany maybe....

Based on the shown level of performance, Portugal, easy, lol.



Croatia - Turkey

Croatia. Turkey would struggle on a good day and they're plagued by suspended and injured players.



Netherlands - Russia

Netherlands. Although Russia may make life a tad difficult, but the type of play of both teams is rather similar, while the Dutch are one or maybe two levels better over the whole line.


Spain - Italy

A true firecracker. I have no fucking clue who'll win this, lol. We'll see.

Oh and technically, Russia bottled a few MASSIVE chances later in the game. Arshavin should've played it down to the right with that big opportuntiy of his. Stupid to go for his own glory.

Pavlyuchenko missed one that my grandmother would score.

Apart from that they had a good game.

Let's not forget the Swedes fucking sucked. No intention or will to play until they were 2-0 down and by then it was too late.

Russia miss alot of chances, same against Greece, Pavlychenko misses alot, but he is a real talent. If they Pob...reankai? Or whatver they would probably score more.

Pogrebnyak is his name i think thuggy. yea he is a loss. I was amazed that Kerzhakov wasnt included.

I predicted the top 2 teams correctly in every group on my excel prediction sheet except for Group C where i had France and Holland. I had Italy but then i changed it to France after Cannavaro got injured.

I think Germany will win tonight, 2-1.

I fancy Croatia to beat turkey comforatably.

Holland to beat Russia in a tight game, possibly in ET.

Italy to put spain out as they stutter again when the pressure really is on. (I hope so anyway as I have money on them but I fear they will struggle withour gattuso and pirlo). I jsut hope the spanish bottle crashes once again when it counts.
