Just realized that the deadline for nominations for the Peace Prize is February 1st of the same year that it's awarded.

What do you mean? We live in a Democratic country. The president is chosen by the people. That's not to say i voted for the guy that's currently representing the people (not me). In all seriousness...what's so funny about me saying that they awarded him for his speaking skills. If anything critics should be agreeing with him winning the Nobel Prize since 90% of the time all they say is he is good at making speeches and nothing else anyway.
