And are ranked something like 111th by FIFA. George Best was right, join up with the Republic, it's your only hope.
Yeah well done, That was a great achievement beating a side who are 104 places below you 4-0, two of which were own goals.

Im more proud of the fact that we held out for 45+ minutes than you are for winning. And that showed with our fans singing right to the end.

And I dont know what Best was smoking (and probably drinking) when he made that statement.

Best simply stated a fact. Northern Ireland are going nowhere as a team not now, not ever. At least in conjunction with the Republic you may be able to sacrifice some self respect, whether any Northern players are good enough to get into our squad is another thing however. At the present it's sad to even watch them play. Jackie Fullerton said it all in commentary, "imagine if we could hold out for a draw, what a success it'd be".

thats idiotic
Unfortunately that's the truth. They (the Loyalists who are the only one's who support Northern Ireland, Catholics support the Republic) were waving Union Jacks and St. George's crosses with Crown's on them at the match. It'd be funny if they weren't serious.

That is simple bullshit, there would have been a fair few catholics in the Northern Ireland end yesterday
Would these be the same Catholics who support the bigoted racism on show at Windsor Park every international game, the same Catholics who participated in the hounding out of Neil Lennon (their one decent player) after he joined Celtic, the same Catholics singing God Save the Queen and waving the sash? Give me a break.
