In case you're not aware, one of the singles from Reasonable Doubt was called "Ain't No Nigga." The only big difference between these two clever lines is that he said "No offense to Nas."

I think you could take the lyrics as proof that he recorded the track/vocals before It Was Written and then started attacking Nas afterwards. The way he was going after Nas during the last few months, it's hard to imagine he'd do a verse where he goes out of his way to say he's not dissing him.

You said Pac didn't diss people using metaphors, etc. He used a metaphor to diss Jay-Z the same way you seem to think he DIDN'T diss Nas. I don't see much of a difference between "Ain't no nigga like me" toward Jay-Z and "This whole fuckin' world is mine" toward Nas.

But in this case, the "ain't no nigga like me" line isn't the diss. He straightup shouts "Fuck Jay-Z." That's not a metaphorical diss.
