thats cause your not "feeling" them, or not your style, ALOT of albums have the same "feel" to them. its not like your going to hear a track like "the world is yours" then the next track rapping over fucking somehting like "still dre" it wouldnt sound rightttt
I said once I wasn't feeling them and was told I knew nothing about rap music.

Hmmm...go figure the hypocracy.

Man I dunno what beats u been listenin to
Since this is the only mature aspect of your post, I'll respond.

In specific right now, what I said can be applied to ALL the songs on Illmatic. At this point I listen to that album for Nas rhymes. I hate the fucking beats on that CD with the exception of a few. Now, when I listened to the West Coast remixes of "Life's A Bitch" and "The World Is Yours", I was like "whooo booyyyy...hot shit".

Put Nas' acapellas over some good West Coast beats...whoo booyyy...I'll be listening to Nas every day.

let me summarise what your saying.
"If illmatic was commercialised with shady/aftermath beats and had christina aguilira on the hooks it would be WHOO BOOOYYY"

I think Illmatic is one of the best produced albums in hiphop history.
L.E.S., Primo, Large Pro, Pete Rock & Q-Tip, what else can you ask for?
I love NY beats!

Oh by the way, I think Star Wars and especially On The Real are dope ass songs!

You're a fucking idiot.

Yeah, and what did I just say? I listen to Illmatch DESPITE not liking most of the beats. And WHY did I say I still listen to Illmatic? BECAUSE OF NAS' LYRICS.

You're a dolt and a half.
