Which the English people that walk up to me and start giving out or the ones that make comments like "Clean my shoes sir" while im going about my work.and i never said all of them.i meant a lot of people ive met.The airport i worked in is turning into a low cost airport with alot of Budget airlines like Ryanair and EU Jet.I guess these bring in alot of scum.The same could be said of a lot of Irish people who take these flights.My apologies.

And by the way Music is forbiden according to most scholars in Islam although some seem to disagree both backed up by hadith, which opinion you follow is your choice, as long as you educate yourself on the topic before talking about it.

I know hes from Senegal. but i dont know if hes muslim. i doubt he is, but maybe hes just not practicing. and yea nas is mostly christian, but in the bridges song he says how is dad went to muslim countries and stuff.

The scoop on Nas if i remember is his father is muslim, Nas makes a few islamic remarks in his music but i dont think he is muslim.

immortal technique made a post about how calling it "muslim rap" was generalizing and shit. well, i know you have the lil french rap thing going on, you have the southafrican thing, there's all these little sub-cults under the hiphop genre, so i figured hey, maybe muslim rap is like a new trend or some shit.

this thread was triggered by watching a hiphop music video in bulgaria. it had a couple of arabs dressed up in "muslim clothes". yes, moronic term but you all know what i mean when i say someone's dressed like a muslim. so this isn't me trying to generalize or anything. i just thought the whole idea was stupid. those two guys looked fucking stupid in those clothes, moving their hands around as they rapped and threw what looked like gang signs. the whole thing just looked fucking stupid, so when i wrote up the thread, i had mockery in mind.

Muslim rap is an oxymoron. Music is NOT prohibited in Islam, but rap is definately prohibited for its content (come on, I don't have to explain that one) and also for more external issues, such as the obscene arrogance displayed by rappers and also this type of music is highly hypocrytical.

Also, whether Nas is a muslim or not is a silly argument, so what if he is or isn't? My beliefs are not going to be affected by a famous peronality affirming my beliefs, these rappers mentioned bring nothing to the critical thinking side of Islam.

Also, if some thugs go around raping, assaulting and robbing etc then what has their muslim names got to do with their crimes. A murderer or a rapist is a murderer or a rapist end of. What difference does it make that they describe themselves as muslims. 98% of child molestors are white middle aged males, but what difference does their race and age make to their crime, none, so why is it different for people who are Arab or describe themselves as muslim?
I do think there is alot of ignorance and hate from mulsim living in the west directed at the natives, this needs to be eradicated, but it's got nothing to do with Islam.
