I don't know man - its a long debate but i will say this any true hip hop expert (not east coast) will say AEOM is better than Ready 2 Die Period.

Well if they did then they shouldn't really be called an expert. Heaven Aint Hard To Find & Whatz Ya Phone Number are two lowpoints of that album. If an album has any lowpoints then how can it be one of the top 10???

I'm from the east coast...and as long as u aint in NYC cats love Pac. Matter of fact, lots a NY cats love pac too. Most cats round DC knows Makaveli was a top 3 hip hop record ..... and just about damn near everyone's bitten that album. (Jay-z, 50-cent, Eminem, Cam'Ron, Ja rule, etc...)..... and AEOM shouldve been Top 10 just based on one track alone... Ambitionz az a ridah.

There's no such thing as music experts.... music is all subjective... but if u rate an album it shouldnt be based on dissin a dead man

The argument for filler astonishes me, Filler is Filler okay whatever I can see the argument for some of the songs on AEOM being less then average Hip hop songs. But then again there are those who can pass by the album and love each song, those in your eyes would probably be a "dickrider" right?

Can you honestly tell me every song on Ready 2 Die or Illmatic/The Chronic/ Paid in Full is a Hit? No you really can’t, maybe its because its reviews are good and you like everyone else put it in their heads that its good because its supposed to be good. I honestly know off the top of my head probably about 4-5 songs off those 3 albums combined. But Yea I’m not a Hip Hop fanatic, but I can tell you that almost any person that has been around since the mid 90's can name you at least 5 songs off AEOM, and those are just regulars, not Hip Hop junkies.

Also, there is NO SUCH thing as a flawless album. Not even Illmatic and DK7 are flawless, and those two albums are pretty much as good as it gets.

AEOM can definatly be argued as being a top 10 album. Its impact and influence is undeniable, and almost every living rapper has used the formulas that Pac created with it (a deluxe street album that gets love from hardcore cats, but is appealing to the masses all at the same time) at one point or another. It was the first double cd in hip hop history and probably the most complete album ever made (meaning it has every type of song imaginable). I personally think MATW and DK7 are both better but AEOM is w/o a doubt classic material and one of the most influential albums of all time.

Paid in Full twice the album that AEOM is?? A mere opinion, and one that I definatly disagree with. But with that said.....

Ready to Die did NOT do more for hip hop than AEOM......you just talking out of your ass now. AEOM is the BLUEPRINT for how a mainstream album is made today. Everyone from 50, to Eminem, to Ja Rule, to Nas, has used AEOM as a measuring stick for making their albums. AEOM had TEN times the impact that Ready to Die had, easily.

Ready to Die was influential when it first dropped, but it didnt have the lasting impact that AEOM has had. Eyez was the first double cd ever in hip hop, and nobody was thinking of making one until Pac did it.....then everyone and their mommas was making a double cd, because they saw the huge success Pac had with it. Pac set countless trends with that album, trends that many rappers have seem to continue to run with today (for better or worse).

And Me Against the World is only classified as being a classic by Pac fans? Wrong YET AGAIN......its frequently listed as a top 10 album by hip hop fans in general, and even the wackass Source went back and gave it 5 mics because they knew it was a classic.

Also, where are these so-called "shit reviews" that AEOM got when it came out?? Post them for me, because I saw the album listed by various publications back in 96' listing it as one of the top 10 albums of 96'.....you lying like a mothafucka man. I was there in 96' when it came out. That album wasnt gettin no (or very few at least) bad reviews when it came out. Shit was critically acclaimed as a west coast classic from DAY ONE. Only cats that were hatin was NY cats, and their opinions mean shit to me anyway.

Also, Toss It Up didnt bring down Makaveli. Sorry, but as I said before, there is NO SUCH thing as a flawless album. EVERY album has at least one song that someone can find to pick on.

Biggie was one of the rappers who imitated Westide style...he even admited it.Ready To Die has some flaws...but it's still a classic.

To Chronic:I don't listen to US rap to hear good lyrics...I listen to it because they do good music...
