Film & TV Movies that changed your life

#1
we got one on the top 10 fav. movies, but really, those are prolly the ones that made you laugh....how about the ones that changed your lives?? not overhauls, but you watched it, and you picked up characteristics of the main character, or it taught you some values....

i'll admit, being 16, i still watch some gay ass movies and end up thinking they're good.....when people ask, "whats your fav. movie", i'd say something gay like Friday....not that its bad, but debo isnt exactly someone that changes your views on life.....we got people here saying movies i've never even heard of, so i felt kinda weird and asked someone for some good ones....i saw american history x to begin with, and it was pretty damn good....now im getting some more, fight club, godfather (never saw it, dont beat me), etc.....

but what are some that changed the way you looked at things...i always wondered how people decided on their fav. movies...

*EDIT* here's a link to the list i was looking at...

"requiem for a dream" did something to me after watching. but i could never really place my finger on it.

this might sound stupid, but "office space" changed me. after watching that i decided i didnt want a regular job sitting in a cube looking at a computer all day.

The Green Mile
The Godfather
Purple Rain
American History X

The most recent movie to really fuck me up was Gus Van Sant's "Last Days", which was loosely based on Kurt Cobain's last days.

Good Will Hunting

Probably my favourite film of recent times, if a film were to inspire me to suddenly make an attempt at script writing or some kind of acting it would be this one lol.
Robin Williams was great in this movie.

Good flick, i remember the first time i saw this i had missed most of it but tuned in near the end and automatically connected the blake charactor to Kurt , the resemblance is uncanny in some scenes

Fight Club, no doubt. Tyler Durden: Now, a question of etiquette - as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch?

Memento, as a good second. Leonard Shelby: I have to believe in a world outside my own mind. I have to believe that my actions still have meaning, even if I can't remember them. I have to believe that when my eyes are closed, the world's still there. Do I believe the world's still there? Is it still out there?... Yeah. We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we are. I'm no different.

Schindler's List, that's just a damn good movie. Anyone should watch that.

i didnt like that movie at all. ive been a nirvana fan half my life so i was looking forward to this movie. but after watching it, i was just left there looking at the screen saying "what the fuck"

i mean what was the point in focusing on a shot of plants in the wild for what seemed like 2 mins

i thought that movie was crazy. maybe i just didnt understand it.

The movie Juice really had an effect on the way I behave in real life... that's not the only one, every week I pick up a new gangster movie and study it deeply.
