i'm far from jelous.
my problem is that militant has been making all these comments about how connected he is to all things hip hop and fine, drop names and feel important all he wants - that's a personal choice (that i do not respect). i had a problem with him making new threads about his little trip to meet with has-beens and i have a problem with him making threads that are little more than veiled cries for attention. our block has too often turned into "swami 101" and for a week life was "militant's life."
all of that nonsense aside (adults don't drop names), the truth of matter is that if militant gets a full song (which he won't) then going fishing with a few 15 second clips of a retail song that would leak in a matter of days anyway is just retarded in my eye. you can call me a jealous hater all you want, that's fine, but come on - clips are retarded and even moreso when it's of a song that is going to drop any second along with 16 other ones. it's my opinion, and like it or not you gotta respect it.
i'd like to see news being posted without strings attached. i've had quite enough of the name dropping and all the claims to be connected. so he knows someone at the bbc. great. so do i. he spokewith jj and had waffles. wonderful. the difference is that i don't continually relive a single pre-planned week of my life for the praise of internet subscribers. it's my opinion, and like it or not you gotta respect it.
all that aside, i have serious doubts about militant's claims. not only is he now claiming to be a member of the havenotz (a member would be an exually contributing artist - not a passing affiliate who has traded some convo with one of the real members) but he has brushed shoulders with and received exclusive news from the game, dre, mc dickfuck, dj shitass, and everyone else under the hip hop sun. it has to stop somewhere and my post is merely an extension of my perception of the ridiculous nature of what is going on here. granted i know zilch about zola and don't care to, but why would militants "manager" have a vested interest in an african. most managers don't have inter-continental clients, no?
it's cool to have heroes and role models. it's not cool to mention them all the time and construct a fantasy reality for yourself where you're all best pals despite the continental divide.
i'm not a hater and i'm not beefing with militant. just as i have been called out when people think that i've been a retard i must do the same when i see it. seacrest out.
