I agree definetely with the first 4 names, but eminem has better rhyming skills? The way he rhymes is most of the time: he chooses 8 words that rhyme and make sentences of them, that isn't really original. Plus I don't think his volcabulary is that big. Don't forget that pac was a real poet originally.AmerikazMost said:What I thik Melle Mel was trying to say is that we shouldn't put him on such a pedastal because in a lot of ways he or his life was a negative influence on hip-hop.
Is Pac the greatest figure ever in hip-hop? Without a doubt. Was he the realest? Unquestionably. The deepest? Arguably. But was he the best in terms of rhyme skills? No. There are a dozen rappers who could eat him up lyrical. Rakim, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, Biggie, and Eminem to name a few. It's when we take into account all the other aspects of the art that we have to put Pac at number 1.
Just throwing that out there..
You see it more in his first two albums and the 8 Mile soundtrack than anywhere else. He's fallen off a bit since.LyricalDisguise said:I agree definetely with the first 4 names, but eminem has better rhyming skills? Maybe on the fans, but not necessarily on the music.simo said:Even if he doesn't put the whole blame on Tupac, he is using it to justify Tupac's exclusion from the best rapper's category. Like I said before, Pac had more positive influences than negative influences.

If Melle Mel did say that Pac brought negativity to Hip-Hop then he's really a fag 'cause that's him who doesn't know nothing about real hip-hop...
Saaphir said:Tupac ain't god.Fuck God.That's God who brought all this negativity in this world, most of the wars are his fault...

No, he's saying that hip-hop would have been better off if Pac's controversy didn't benefit him like it did.simo said:So Melle Mel is saying that hip hop would be a better thing if Tupac never existed. I disagree with that.
