Maybe the reason why many Pac fans hate on LTTG...

Many Tupac fans love Tupac because of his beliefs and how he stayed true to his people (black people), Pac created his music to reach out to the deprived black people all across the world, and because of this, people love and respect Tupac for what he did and still does through his music. I'm white myself but I still respect him because he gave his own people hope and offered many people a way out of the life they were living, and he helped whenever he could.

The year following his death, the album 'R U Still Down (remember me)' is released, which represents Tupac to the fullest not only in the 'beat' sense, but 'production' and the whole concept of the album is ment for his people. To follow are 'Still I Rise', 'Untill The End Of Time' and 'Better Dayz' which all still represent Tupac in there own way.

The reason why I think the recently released album 'Loyal To The Game' is hated on so much is because of the envolvement of Eminem (especially black people), because they feel that this is not part of Pac's legacy. Tupac wanted his legacy to be aimed at black people all across the world (not saying he was against all white people), and by getting Eminem on the production, many people feel like Afeni is trying to get Pac's shit to the suburbs, trying to make his music commercialised and make it something Tupac did not want it to be. Especially with some of Eminem's rock-influenced beats on 'Loyal To The Game', which just doesn't have that black-vibe to the music.

I'm not saying Tupac wanted to make his music totally unlistenable to the white race and I'm not an Eminem hater, but I'm saying if your going to continue with Pac's legacy and continue how we would want it to be and keep it real for Tupac. And I'm sure many people feel the same way.
 
The reason I don't like it is because Eminem's beats are shit. I liked a few of the tracks but as with most of the beats Eminem produces the repeat factor is very limited.
I'd played that album out after a week. And haven't had it back in rotation since. I'll probably listen to it again. But to be honest it got about as much play as my Guerilla Black album.
 
the reason why i was angry with that album is eminem's beats dont sound like sumthing pac would use and ppl in the songs like 50 cent shouldn't be there. I still listen to the abulm becase I look past eminem's beats and his damn voice and just listen to waht pac is sayin.

If the beats were nice and did justice to 2pac and DIDNT CHANGE HIS VOICE...... i would like the album a lot ...... i rather have johnny j put chezzey Singers on the hook then have pacs voice changed and sound unnatural...

Tupac wouldn't be the top selling rap artist to date if it wasn't for white people...Tupac didn't rap just for "HIS" people he rapped just for people black, white, brown whatever he rapped about the struggles you face living in the ghetto and it's not only black people living in ghettos...but what i didn't like about the album apart from the fact that it was old school lyrics thrown on new school beats was Tupac saying shit like 'G Unit in the mutha fuckin house"
 
The reason that album blew fucking donkey choad is because Marshall created new Pac lyrics, cut and pasted lyrics, chopped up Pac's flow, produced for shit and had a horrible guest list while the likes of Fatal were left off.

Is it any wonder people didn't like that piece of shit?

I can't speak for everyone else, but my beef is the way in which he handled vocals by 2Pac. He had no right to alter the speed and flow in which 2Pac spit into the mic. Eminem showed respect by saying all the right things to Afeni, writing letters, etc. Yet he is handed acapellas and strips 2Pac's flow and pace, forget about the beats, their important, but to alter the basis of the raps and make it easy on yourself by stretching 2Pac like a rubberband around your beats without compromising and meeting Pac halfway is selfish, and the quick way out.

If Scott Storch produced this whole album, based off of Po Nigga Blues, I think people would embrace the album, because at least Scott Storch being white, knew to not strip the soul element from Pac. Eminem was handed a project that was bigger than life, and he basically played Pac. And I don't care what anyone says, Pac would be pissed if saw how Eminem fucked/played around with his voice.

Its basically like a fan of Pac being allowed to do the album, yet that person really doesn't know what they're doing, and after the thrill of being given the project wears off, you are faced with the reality of having to actually produce beats for a legendary artist. I think Eminem underestimated what it takes to produce a track for Pac, and because Em's flow is not the same as Pac's, he is used to producing in a certain way, and didn't realize that his selection of beats and ideas, wouldnt fit Pac. Instead of maybe asking for help from other experienced producers, or get advice on how to match Pac's flow, he did the worst possible thing, changed the accapellas like it was a game (causing distortion,pitch problems, speed jumps).

My question is, some people say, oh, well Eminem was given damaged acapellas, by Amaru,etc, so he had to salvage whatever he could.

Yet, how come we don't hear any damaged accapellas on previous post-humous albums? We only hear about damaged accapellas after Eminem comes along (minus the song They Don't Give A Fuck About Us), on Better Dayz, which was lower quality because Daz stole the masters.

So I think it's time to come to the reality that Eminem has done 2Pac the least respect & is responsible for damaging the accapellas he's given.

I only liked Crooked Nigga Too , and L2TG remix was ok but how can you take Treach off, even if its Syke and Quik
 
The reason I dislike this album has nothin to do with Eminem, or Black music. I just don't like the beats, they don't fit Pacs style and are repetitive.
 
I dont like it becuase it was a Shady Records advertisement more than a 2pac record

I would've rather these tracks never seen the light of day than be presented to the public in the form they ended up being, its just watering down 2pac's hard work
 
i didnt buy or download itbecause of ems involvement in it his beats are shit hes singing like hes nate dogg and hes corny with hi scut and paste g unit features

from my standpoint nothing positive came out of this cd
it makes uteot look like a masterpiece classsic

rapheal saadiqs remix of Crooked Nigga Too is the only thing on this album that really stands out, and even that has its problems (stupidass singing interlude/hook after Pac's done rapping)
 
maybe it sucks because we all know Tupac would whoop Eminem's ass lyrically for doing what he has done on LTTG and then going at Amaru lyrically too....
