Thanks I guess. I don't think it has to do with being male or female. To me it's just recognizing something in these characters, usually some sort of desire, and I think we can all, male or female, relate to that struggle and desire and that hope, and that's what art is about.
Whether it's Tupac's struggle for his own personal freedom and peace or Seth/Summer's struggle to find true love in each other, experiencing it with them, especially when their dreams come true, touches the human spirit. The OC plays with our emotions, it gives us their dreams and then takes them away, kind of like real life. But when the show ends, and life ends, the hope is that the dreams are kept...
