world wide i think he sold 36 mil or around that
the source is 2005 guiness world record :p
not sure if he was the best selling hip hop artist or best selling artist overall but i was happy to see his name :)

^^^He sold much more then 36 million worldwide. 36 million is his U.S. sales ALONE, and even that number is probably closer to about 42 million now. Worldwide, the figure is much greater.

I dont know what the Makaveli album sold worldwide, but in the U.S. I know it sold 5 million.

damn i thought it would be higher than 36 mil.

I've always wondered how much Pac sold total worldwide

nobody knows for sure. A Koch rep told me he sold somewhere between 65-75 million worldwide.

All I know is, his USA sales are in excess of 42 million.

hm...i thought it said world wide but i could be wrong
still its pretty impressive :)

and what is with the bootleg sales? lol

the beatles with 165 million in the usa?? ... omg
then world wide is more then 250-300 million?

Amaru/Interscope/Death Row/Whoever need to get all his albums certified again, and then we can know. They need to certify his albums anually. I don't think they've done it since 98 (except with each new album)

True they stopped updating certification with the Greatest hits album

who knows what the worldwide sales are.....

but yea, 165 mill for the Beatles.

Elvis is second at like 116 million, then Led Zeppelin is third at 107 million I believe.

I dont if his albums sell enough to be certified annually, but they've definatly gone up since 98'.

I talked to a rep from Koch when I worked at a music store, and brought me a statement showing that AEOM had sold 5.44 million units. Now, this is a double cd, so that would be 10.88 total, meaning the album was near 11 million. And this was in 2003!! Shits gotta easily be at 11 mill now.

my guess is that his sales look something like this:

2Pacalypse Now - platinum, maybe a mill and a half
Strictly - last certified platinum, but could be double platinum by now or very close
Thug Life - probably almost platinum
Me Against The World - this has definatly gone up, probably somewhere between 3-4 million sold as of now.
All Eyez on Me - as mentioned above, Diamond. Probably 11 mill.
Makaveli - this one im not as sure about, because if yall remember it was out of print for a couple years. But when they brought it back, it became an instant top back catalog seller. Probably 5 mill and some change.
RUSD - another album that was only certified once, and right after the albums release. Was at 4 million, but this gotta at the 5 million mark by now.
Greatest Hits - Consistant seller since 98', and probably only rivaled by AEOM. Im guessing this album is Diamond too, though probably still behind AEOM.
Still I Rise - This was at 1.7 million in 2001.....gotta be double plat by now.
UTEOT - 4 million....most sources have it at 3 million but this one has definatly gone up as Soundscan reported as having 2 million UNITS sold (thus making it 4x platinum).
Better Dayz - just over 3 million, about 3.2 million to be exact.
Loyal To the Game - platinum, about 1.3 mill exactly.

^^^most of these are just rough estimates but are probably pretty close to the actual numbers. So, he's at around roughly 45 million.....thats almost as much as Eminem, 50 Cent, and Jay Z COMBINED

From what I know from my last checking

All Eyez is 15 million

Makaveli was 5 million

R U Still Down was 7 million

Until The End Of Time 4 million

Me Against The World was 5 million

Greatest Hits was 9-10 million

Thats all I know!!
