Lil Wayne wins at the Grammys

Lil Wayne has capped off a great year by winning four of the eight Grammy awards he was nominated for.

The Carter III is the best rap album, "A Milli" the best rap solo performance, "Lollipop" best rap song and "Swagga Like Us" the best rap/sung collaboration.

He also joined Allen Toussaint, Terence Blanchard and Robin Thicke on stage for a musical salute to New Orleans.

Something tells me his rock album won't be as critically acclaimed next year.

What did you guys expect, it's almost always about popularity and letting certain artists win if the majority of the people want them to win, hence why Steely Dan (a duo from decades ago whose name is based on a dildo) beat out Eminem years ago for album of the year, because those who pick who wins don't want to deal with the backlash and controversy of letting a rapper like Eminem win at that time, even though some publications like the L.A. Times had the balls to stand up and write about how Eminem should've won.

In this case, they gave it to Lil Wayne over other rappers. That's no surprise, it's not their job to look for every indie rapper for the best rap song in existence; they go by what's poppin and take it from there.
