Lil Wayne Feat. Eminem - Drop The World

Lil Wayne gives the song the tone and the ambiance.

Eminem came on point, though.

It's interesting how rap fans change and rap fan generations change. Shit, I remember when Eminem used to get hated left and right and was called a wigger daily. Now all the blogs are jockin' him with shit like "Marshall destroyed this" bla bla when most likely in 2002 the bloggers were hating major. It's cool, though. I felt like I had to defend him online and in real life. Now, I have to tell people that he's not coming as dope as before and it angers me when they say "he destroyed this bla bla" when it's like not even Eminem's average. Dude was a genius.

same thing with me. people think he is better now than he ever was. i remember when my cousins (both girls) and a few friends started listening to eminem - when without me and just lose it came out. they didnt know any of his previous stuff.

i told them to check out SSLP and MMLP, but theyre the type who grew up on TES and Encore in their teens, so they think its better than his previous stuff. they are only ½ year and 3½ years younger than me.

must check out the song.

^man i never liked eminem i his early years untill i was bit older and then understood abit more....but yeh tottaly agree with ur post about eminem sofi

Quoted for truth.

What's your personal opinion on the Infinte album?

Great track, If Em' was as serious on his own album as he is on guest appearences I'd probably cream myself.

Read a few threads on other sites, majority of people claiming 'Em killed Wayne'. Stupid, Em did drop the better verse but credit to Wayne he put in a good shift too.

^Yeah, Lil Wayne's angle on the track wasn't "lyrical murder" but just expression and getting a feel for the song, making the listener FEEL a different way. This is how songs become of quality. It's not just dropping a technically dope verse.

i love the instrumental to the song infinite and like the 313 beat. i dont think the beats are amazing but i do really like them as theyre something which takes me back to a younger time in my life. dont know what it is about them, they give me a slight sense of deja vu.

I like Wayne more than Em on this track. Eminem's flow annoys me on this, it has it's moments that ride the track well but it's nothing special. He starts off a lot better than he ends, a lot better.

"I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes, hate in my heart, and love in my mind"...quality

Seriously, Wayne's first verse on this is damn amazing. Too bad people are gonna concentrate way too much on Mr. Mathers.

For the record, Wayne "singing" > Eminem "singing"

They both killed it.. But I think Lil Wayne got him on this.. I think his delivery, lyrics matched the production of the song. Em flowed crazy, but Lil Wayne was just better in my opinion.
