Kanye West's last album, 2007's Graduation, moved over 957,000 copies in its first week in stores.

While the rapper isn't expected to match those numbers with his new album, 808's & Heartbreak, he's still expected to move enough units to secure the No. 1 spot on this week's Billboard 200 album chart.

HitsDailyDouble.com projects that West will move 450,000 to 500,000 copies.

Although the Grammy winner's album is a departure from his previous efforts – it features him singing and using the Auto-Tune – fans have still supported the new music.

West will also benefit from the busiest shopping week of the year.

Ludacris, who also released his new album Theater of the Mind last Monday (November 24) is expected to sell approximately 350,000 copies.

The official sales tallies will be announced by Nielsen Soundscan on Wednesday (December 3).
