Take a look at how many posts i've had on this board for the last two months, then look at how many you have had. You're the one with the time issues. Not everyone believing in life after death refuses to eat meat, believes in his holy book and such. Also having that faith, believe me or not - makes your life better and easier. It's really important for the sake of your life comfort and overall enjoyment to be spiritual.

It's ignorant to overlook the one billion muslims who do not eat pork because their holy book says it is unclean and they will go to hell if they eat it.

It makes life a lot easier if your doctor doesn't tell you that you have cancer, but do you want the truth or is ignorance bliss?

That's why I said that it's stupid to sacrifice anything for something that doesn't exist (not even mentioning that I find Islam as one of the most faulty religions). On the other hand it gives people the spirit to live and affects their ethics.

I'm not sure if I'd like to know that or not. It's hard to answer. The point is that there are some things that won't cost you nothing if you'll look at them from a different angle.

I think that guys who don't believe in anything except what's proven by science, who grow in materialistic environment just don't understand it and everything I write now seems like a Jehovah's witness bullshit to them. I guess that's the problem with religions too. On one side there are guys who are obsessed with their religions, on the other side there are guys who say it's all bullshit because they haven't ever experienced that or their experience made them lose their faith. Both sides think that those in between are bad. Religions lead to really good and bad things and I don't want to discuss that. I just think that for spiritual people and for those who grew up believing in something it is easier. It's also a way to get out of depression and a way to see the true joy they couldn't find. That's not ignorant or extreme, that's all about your point of view and how you perceive the surrounding reality.

I have just read some interesting things about the Islamic afterlife. Apparently, the general idea is that whereas they have a Hell, that it's not a permanent place where you spend forever in torment. The idea of afterlife is more progressive here, with people in Heaven and Hell being shaped and still striving to become better people. Just more or less in two different divisions. Well, that's what one source said, anyway.

That's kinda funny.


I've never been able to coincile the idea of a good and righteous and merciful God together with the concept of Hell, though.
Too many contradictions to make sense.

It's considered disrespectful to cremate. A person should be buried with respect. Also, it allows loved ones to feel closer to the person if they can go to their graves and pray over them and know the body is there and not a bunch of ashes.

Quick burial- because the Quran says so. Probably considered disrespectful not to bury quick.

In the three Abhrahamic religions, cremation seems to be something that you can't do. In Judaism there isn't anything saying that you can't do it, but after World War 2 they think that cremation is disrespectful.

In the Quran as Jokerman says, they can't do it because it says so.

''Chosen one'' my ass. I had this Jew (my boss, I actually thought he was a fair Jew compare to others I know until he said this) tell me that you can't convert into Judaism. He goes people covert into different religions from Christian to Muslim and vice versa but a Christian can not convert into Judaism, not because there is some written law, but he says because "it is hard to be a Jew". I almost burst into laughter, only thing that kept me from doing that is I was reminded he was my boss and like I said, I always thought he was a decent Jew so I kinda respected him. So, I just said okkkaaaay. He goes its not easy to be a Jew, you gotta do this and that, you gotta pray so much, go to the Rabbi meetings or some shit he said, you gotta study Torah everyday and such and such. Basically saying that Jews have much more responsibilities than Christians.

I live in vast majority of Jewish community neighborhood. I know these fucks from hair to toe, know who they are and what they're about. And I mean Jews like the ones with long beards, wearing black coats middle of the freakin summer and high white socks, the real religious fuckers. They are so isolated from others its like they're living in their own world. You walk in their store, they won't pay attention to you if your somebody other than Jew, they treat you like shit. They are paranoid. When I walk on the sidewalk, some of the fucks turn around and cross the street and walk on the other sidewalk just so I don't go pass them thinking I might do something to them. Not to mention they are the essence of whores. Who knew Jews were freaks. But, they go fuck around with their cousins and close relatives. The only good thing about them in their miserable culture that I like is they help each other out. I mean if you're a Jew and have paperwork that proves it, you can literally walk into Jewish residence and ask them for money, they call it tsedaka. Show bills or some depth and say you have financial problems and they will help you out big time. Some might give you as much as up to thousand dollars, it all depends on the what kind of paper you have. Thats it, this is the only good thing about them (imagine only if Christians were like this, how great we would be).
