I remember when Nas debuted "Just A Moment" on 106 & Park. He brought Quan w/him, and Quan called himself a "rapper just getting his 'Nate Dogg' on" for the song. He also said something like, "I thank God, he blessed me with the talent to sing, too." So he's a rapper who sings hooks, basically. (Like Ja, but with a good voice...)
Nas said Quan produces most of his own shit, too, and a friend-of-a-friend hooked them up. Quan's a real dude, too -- he said something like, "On the real, Nas is my man. What comes first is that I gotta have a personal relationship with someone before I do business with them, and even then, it's business second." Nas likes him cuz he's a "Renaissance Man"; a real deep-thinkin, creative dude that does it all.
