chickens and all poultry EAT their own shit. pigs wallow in shit, they don't eat it.
the pig is actually a very clean animal if they are given the right environment (thus are sometimes bred for the purpose of being house pets).
then again, like pulp fiction, you have to consider the personality of the animal before judging it :P
