There is a another way to charge your Ipod.Its through the wall plug-in charger.You plug one end of the adapter in the wall and another one in your ipod and charge it.(just like with the cell phones).And with this way, i was told it takes only 3 hours to charge.But with computer charger,it takes 8 hours(?) i was told.How true is that?Yesterday i charged it for the first time right,and i let it charge for 4 hours because it said in the manual book..(for the first time,you should charge for 4 hours).But i want to know,from now on,do i stop charging after it shows 'COMPLETE' or continue charging until some time?which i was told was 8 hours.lol Sounds absurd but is it true?

To tell you the truth the most it has taken me was probably 2 hours. But I never let it drain all the way down and you shouldn't as well.

Why not?You can play unlimited songs just like that.You don't have to constantly change cd's of different artist.Besides,i don't have any stereo in a car.No mp3 player so i need something to play with.

The lady is trying to scare you, maybe she wanted you to buy a warranty or something. Can an Ipod get damaged? Of course, just like anything else, what matters is how you take care of it. Don't be playing baseball with it, use a protective sleeve to minimize scratches/fingerprints on your ipod. As for recharging nothing happens, the ipod would just stop recharging with no harmful effects.

And still it is a waste of money, but it is yours so in terms of which charger to get, I am not very familiar with them, but all of them should do the job that it says it does. Remember you can play your ipod in your car for 5 or more hours (I am guessing) so once you are done, you can recharge it through your house.

3)put the "feat (artist name here)" after the song title, leave the man artist name as is, i.e. 2pac.

The thing is i already have organized evertything with 'feat (artist name)' after the artists.So i guess if theres no other way,then i'm going to have to go through every single one and change it.

1) In a way it does. Remember the ipod is a hard drive and it is constitantly writting/checking it's data and if you accidentaly disconnect improperly, you can lose your data or even your hard drive can become FUBAR'ED. Now the chances of that happening is 1 out of 1,000,000. Rarely to never happens so don't worry.

2) Nope, you can disconnect at any time, no need to fully recharge the ipod.

3) Can't. You need to put the feature artists listings in the song names. I think it is a better structure that way.

4) Videos need to be .mp4. There cannot be any other format. I don't have a video ipod so I am not familiar enough with decoding and encoding correctly. Check out www.ilounge.com and go to their forums. Use the search gbuttons. I know that alot of people have questions about the video format on the new ipods.

5) Yes. I use ephpod. BUT you cannot add videos to your ipod. I really don't care for videos (and the fact that I don't have a video ipod works for me). Ephpod is very advance and should not be used if you don't know what you are doing. The good side about it is the many ways you can change the mp3's, and folders of the ipod. Check out www.ilounge.com and they have rated many applications for use of the ipod.

Thank you again ^.Everything is working well now.I figured all out in most parts.I got video thing working too.But organizing files is still complicated.I put all the 'Ft artists' next to song names.But some songs from some albums split and make two artist names and half of the songs are in one '2pac' and another half on second '2pac'.Its complicated,i don't know why they get mixed up.I like it very organized.Hopefully i'll give a try to that other program you told me and organize files through there.

With Windows Media Player, you can have one song in many folders. If the artist is set to "2Pac; Nas" for example, it would show up under 2Pac and under Nas. Apple should do that with the iPod.

What you can do, if your Artists page looked like this;

2Pac
2Pac feat. Nas
2Pac feat. Scarface
2Pac feat. The Notorious B.I.G.
etc.

is set up a playlist for all songs that have "2Pac" somewhere in the Artist field. That way, all songs with 2Pac in the title would be in that one playlist.

Bone Thugs 'n' Harmony feat. 2Pac - Thug Luv

Would all be added to one playlist. That's what I do with some artists.

People are lazy, the ipod is a fragile unit, therefore you would treat it accordingly and be careful with the units protection. it is not the inadequacy of the ipod if people have no respect for the unit and treat it with contempt. Chucking it around breaks it, therefore you don't bitch if it breaks after you have chucked it around. You have to take into consideration the complexity of the situation, before warning people not to buy one 'becasue it breaks easy' which it does! Mine has no scrathes or anything anywhere becasue I have been meticulous about getting apt protection first.

Conclusion: the iPod is a solid (not physically) product, period.

Yep that might be it.lol.Can't beleive how it is set up.Even lil spaces between the names make the difference.This is some krazy shit right here.I have to go again and check the spaces between every single song after i already put Ft artists on next to song names one time before,and i got more then thousand songs to go.Can a man get a scan machine or something?You have to be on crack to set this system up like this.Theres no other explanation to this behaviour really.

^Yes, you should know that fi your ipod gets reformatted and you have to add the songs again, you will have to apply the process all over again, meaning changing the names, artists, ect. Find a program in which you can change the mp3 file rather than the ipod's mp3 file. Do you understand what I am trying to say?

If not, the original song gets copied to the ipod. So you have the original mp3 song on your hard drive and the other same song in your ipod. Whatever the hard drive mp3 song was formatted text wise will show up in your ipod.

Well the ipod is a hard drive just like any other computer but the problem here that is is being moved/abused/getting dirty etc. I have had one of my ipod's just stop working on me, so I had to reformat the hard drive of the ipod and do the whole changing of songs titles and such over again. As for a specific program, I don't know, I did them all manually through selecting the songs and selecting properties. Click on the summaries tab and then click on advance. There are programs to make it more easier but I never sought them.

You need to use itunes to put album covers/actual pics, but I have no idea if another program can be used. Most likely there is if you search www.ilounge.com. I have an ipod that I can put pics and shit but never really cared for it. The novelty for me wore off very fast, and most likely it will for you. Unless is porn.
