I'm thinkin about pickin up a iPod

Ipod minis are selling for about 180$ (US) at an online store.

I personally wouldnt buy a 20-40gb gadget. I dont need to carry all my music with me. 740 songs is good enough.

Fuck Ipods, the Creative Nomads shit all over them. Get a Creative Nomad Zen, get like 30gb for almost half the price of an Ipod, if you need more storage, buy a fujitsu laptop harddrive, open the nomad up, and upgrade. So you can have like, 120gigs in there or whatever laptops come with now.
Truth.

The only reason people buy iPods is because of the image.

Me being the biggest Apple supporter here, I must speak up.

Fuck iPods, I've been saying it, I've been spitting on the iPods. They are over priced and nothing but a trend, there are better alternatives out there.

(I'd buy one in a heart beat if it was $50...)

FUck the Ipod or any shit like that ,BUY QUALITY STUFF:

Ipod's are expensive no question about that, but for me it was because it was stylish and was easy to use. Like I stated earlier I never had a problem with it. It is always the end user who messes something up, but of course there are the times when it actually does not work...

If you have any questions about ipod's go here: http://www.ipodlounge.com

i cant really see why one would want to carry thousands of songs on them.. its not that hard to erase your mp3 player and reload it with new songs every once in a while.. i cant affort that ipod shit, its just a trend to me... lets see who has the coolest mp3 player

maybe 100-200 or 300 bucks at the most... and i consider about 200 songs alotta songs
Then an ipod is not for you. I have 2019 songs in my ipod with 2 gigs of free space left. Consider an ipod mini which are 200 bucks and start with a 4 gig of space

ets see who has the coolest mp3 player
So far the ones that are selling are ipod's...

You need at least a gigabyte of space if you want 200 songs.

For $219.99 you can get NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra. That'll hold approximately 8,000 songs (30GB). That's cheaper than a 20GB iPod or 20GB iRiver. You're getting more space for less money.

Less than that and you're looking at non-hard drive based mp3 players, and I don't really know much about those. You can get a 1GB MuVo for $169.99. That's cheaper than the 1GB iRiver model. You don't want an iPod Shuffle.

I have a 15gig Ipod, and let me just say, do not buy one.

The entire Apple support system is designed to fuck you in the ass. My battery began to die about six months after I bought it, and I have tried to contact their technical support to get it fixed, and they say that it is not under warranty (they have a standard one year warranty on all ipods) and that I must send them my receipt. After i send my receipt and they confirm it is under warranty, i must apply to have my name placed on a waiting list to recieve a special box, where i package up my ipod and send it off to apple, who will fix it and send it back.

its been two months, and im still on the waiting list, they want more conformation.

But you may be surprised to learn what happens when the battery on the iPod dies.

batteries can be self-replaced for <$50, that article is months old
who wants a nomad zen brick? it just feels and looks ugly. who wants to drive a geo?
ipod shuffle sucks.

imo the best buys are the 4gb ipod mini or 30gb ipod photo, color screen is ++ even if you dont wanna load photos

that sony nw-hd3 is EXCELLENT, it has gapless so if you listen to classical music or mixes, there are no annoying gaps between tracks. the only other hard drive players that have gapless are rio karma and nw-hd1.
