im getting sued 2morrow and i dont know what to say

For tickets cops dont usually show up, but in a case of a major accident like this one im positive they'll show up

If you truly believe you're innocent and your insurance and lawyer believe that as well than you should countersuit.

I can kinda picture what happened here, she wanted to make the left turn before the lights to her left and right get green, she assumed you would stop on a yellow light but you didnt and kept going ending up hitting her while she makes her left, the way it is here on most intersections, drivers that need to make a left can wait in the middle of an intersection and turn if there is no cars approaching from the opposite end, or when the lights facing her turn yellow. its 50/50 the way i see it

Oh i thought the lady you hit is suing you lol, and yeah i dont see how they could sue you for running a yellow light, unless they have a photo of you running the intersection on a red instead of a yellow, they have no case, think about it, what can they possibly say to the judge? you ran a yellow light? if thats perfectly legal where you live than you have shit to worry about, but just remember they might have something on you you know nothing about, otherwise they would not bother going through with this lawsuit on a he said she said evidence, just play smart in a case such as this one

What the fuck? They can do that in Canada? Yellow doesn't mean fucking stop, it means slow down. I see plenty of cops speed through yellow lights and I do the same thing. I'm not gonna stop at a yellow light, someone will fucking rear-end me or they'll beep like crazy. I never see people stopping for yellow lights. It sounds like it's her fault, but I don't really get alot of what you are saying. How didn't you see her in time to stop anyway?

naw, they got nothing on me. No picture or anything. I heard that when cops issue a lawsuit, they get a day off so they can actually attend. Im thinking he did that to me just for a day off. If thats the case, then i highly doubt he'll get up early in the morning - on his day off - to show up in court at 9am.

No yellow does not mean stop, Depending how far you are from the yellow light the driver should make the judgement to cross or not, i think there is a rule here if you're a 100 feet from the yellow light you should slow down to a complete stop on the intersection lines, i dont know how far ay was from the interesection or if was unable to stop in time, im sure she assumed he would stop and thought it was safe to turn before the lights to her left and right get green

Yeah, if you are that far away, you should definitely stop. There's no question about that really. If I am that far away, I stop. But i'm saying, if i'm close, I will go through it. It's obvious she thought he was gonna stop at the yellow light, lol. But she was wronggggg!
