I did ask for and receive money. I needed it, and people generously donated. Then, people who didn't like that I'd asked for money started a rumor that I had used the money to go to Europe, based on me clicking "Going" to a Casey Rain event in England, out of courtesy to Casey. I'm harassed about it on Twitter to this day, and it's a very sore subject. My fiance left me a month later, and losing Twitter as an outlet put me in a dark place.

I do remember the "scandal." Someone I followed really went after you for it and I think I ended up deleting them. Like there was one dude who would not STFU about it and it flooded my timeline with his basement-dwelling thoughts.

I don't remember who it was but if you still remember the one person that really stroked their nuts to it on Twitter and their username, let me know and I'll check to see if he's not followed.
