and shitloads of other metal acts at a festival.

First time seeing a metal act (second time seeing a rock act) so it should be kick ass. As long as I don't get stabbed.

You're going to Download Festival?

Sweet. I really wanted to go but couldnt make it this year.

Make sure you go see Cavalera Conspiracy. Can't wait to see Max and Igor back on stage together, it's been too long!

Graspop Metal Meeting. It's smallish but they can get artists.

I'll try to see most of them. The bands I know I'll definitely be watching. Haven't heard CC yet but I've heard 4 Sepultura albums so I'll definitely be seeing them.

Paul Stanley said they were louder at the Download Festival... ruined my entire evening. Thank God I live close-by, stayed 1 night, took the bike today. Don't have to sleep in a tent with idiots screaming until 5 am and I have a hygenic toilet and shower at my disposal.

Turns out Graspop is big, which is pretty amazing considering its location. Besides the usual annoyances of festivals (sore feet, drunk people) it's been pretty nice. Got the t-shirt and LP I wanted and despite clear rules against drugs you could pretty much smoke weed where you wanted. Pre-concert joint + 1 during = lovely. Found 2 very good bands, Moonfall and My Dying Bride. Rob Halford is still great live, the guy's 56 so that's impressive. Cavalera Conspiracy was on the main stage, I didn't get a chance to see the show but I heard it while walking around, they sounded good. Opeth canceled because the singer/guitarist is sick, which sucks.

Tomorrow 2 hours of Iron Maiden!
