The guy gets alot of shit, but but he's fucking hilarious.

Both "Evening With Kevin Smith" DVD's are DEFINATELY worth the money. Hell, anything Kevin Smith related is probably worth the money, I own everything the man has done, and even a few average movies that he happen to have some small involvement with (like Catch & Release, and Vulgar). Not to mention his two books, "Silent Bob Speaks", and "My Boring Ass Life" which are great reads.

I can't wait for his new movie, Zack & Miri Make A Porno.

I've seen both of those, I don't think he's made a bad movie at all, I don't care much for Jersey Girl, but it wasn't terrible.

I can't wait to see his next movie, Seth Rogen + Kevin Smith = !!!!

I think Jersey Girl was actually under-rated. It's actually not a bad movie at all and I understand what he was trying to do with it.

it's funny, whenever i think of Kevin Smith, the first thought that pops into my head is "what's a nubian?" the second is usually something about oral sex injuries :D

Kev's a good writer/director, but i have to be honest even though it is blasphemy to the true KS fan, i never liked Clerks. in fact the first time i saw it i thought it was probably the stupidest movie i'd seen in years. but i like Mallrats, LOVE Chasing Amy and Dogma, and am kind of indifferent to Jay And Silent Bob. it was funny but it seemed to be missing something i still can't quite put my finger on. i thought Jersey Girl wasn't bad for his first attempt at "serious" comedy.

i don't know if they air it down in the States, but did anyone here see the Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes with him and Jason Mewes? i think Kev's love of "weird Canadian melodrama" is pretty well documented, and when they did the new version of Degrassi they got Kev and Jason to come up and do a few eps. i don't remember the plotline exactly, but it was something about them filming a new Jay and Silent Bob movie. i fuckin' hate that show but i had to watch the eps with them lol.

i only seen an handfull of his movies, silent bob, dogma and chasing amy.

i thought Chasing Amy was very good, i thought it was amazing about how they explain the tittle of the film, very clever.

has kevin smith done other films similar to chasing amy?

Devious, I have "Jay & Silent Bob Do Degrassi" on DVD. I had to track it down being as I'm such a big KS fan. I liked it, it was awesome. I like that Alanis and Jen Schwalbach Smith (Kev's wife) are both in it too.
