so i was sitting in class not paying attention (as usual) and it hit me...

Amaru/Afeni is making this music appeal toward the general audience... if she releases it as OG it will get bad reviews from today's rap fan... in order to keep pac's legacy alive then his music has to appeal to the POP audience... so now i understand and i think she still owes the true pac fans something... so Afeni...AFENI!!! - you need to sell the original box set... EVERYTHING! to the true pac fans

the problem with this approach is that for the most part 2pac's music was relatively timeless. granted 2pacalypse sounds old by today's standards, but matw, thug life, makaveli, and all eyez would hold their own in today's market. the sound swiss beats used is very "now sounding," and that dates the track horribly. i can't imagine going back in 10 years and listening to this track and liking it. meanwhile i do that with the old albums eveyr few days.

fad satisfying production will kill this production. and here i was hoping for more street fame (bd remix) type tracks.

once again, this is a testament to the notion that big name producers will butcher pac's work because they're so busy trying to make a banger so their name will be associated with pac that they forget that the artist comes first. we don't need 17 bangers on a cd, so let's not try.

shit, right now i'd have been happy had they released an album of the cut remixes em replaced from lttg as an ep instead. if there are new songs i will eat my words perhaps, but then again if they sound like this i'd perhaps rather not have heard them at all.

I have yet to download it. And probably won't. I don't wanna hear this to be honest.

If the new fans like it and it goes to the top of the charts, I won't be happy. But at least Amaru will have achieved their goal.

I will still buy the cd, out of curiosity. But I don't wanna hear this track, hopefully they'll be a few I like on the album.

so what you guys are saying is that you'd rather kill pac's legacy with today's generation and hear a "timeless song" that pac cut for a reason than hear a remixed club amped song that we already have the basic OG for and at the same time help continue pac's legacy? sure MATW and AEOM are timeless albums that still live up to today's standards but 90% of the unreleased material is very boring to the average fan... like i said... amaru needs to release the unreleased retails remixed and then sell a boxset of originals for the true pac fans... this would be the greatest solution

Pac's legacy has resonated very strongly after his death, and it still does. I don't think this has to do with the likes of Loyal To The Game being released every 2 years. Pac's lyrics don't need certain types of beats to continue their appeal.

^No it wouldn't. Pac's legacy is forever as long as hip-hop continues to live on. Altering his works of art into shit shows in order to conform to today's "pop culture" is only detrimental towards his image as the greatest of all time. Seriously, after LTTG was released, people who were never into Pac were only able to confirm their notions that he is overrated. If tracks like this continue to resurface then they should just stop releasing anything. It's better that way.

I don't really care at this point. Loyal to the Game dissapointed me so much that I'm probably never gunna anticipate another 2Pac album.

You know, perhaps Amaru was unable to capture Pacs true vision after he died for one reason.. Pac ain't here with us to guide them... but they did their best.. and for the most part... everything release before The Ressurection soundtrack was actually good for me... I enjoyed those albums.. probably a few tracks I thought they could of done better, ... they should of never removed original artists featured on tracks and put pop artists.. but whatever... that was fine..

After the Resurrection sound track and Loyal to the game.. I basically never look forward to a Tupac release .... Loyal To The Game is a joke to me... it can't even force a laugh out of me... it's that horrible... Tupac soundin' like a little girl, then in another song he's rappin faster than Twista... then he's shoutin' out G unit... then he's slowed down ... I mean the whole thing is a mess... I don't know how anybody with the ability to listen couldn't tell that was one whack ass album....Im just thankful, some of the songs are original form so I can appreciate how dope they are..

It feels like to me, Amaru isn't even paying attention anymore... im so beyond reasoning now that I even think its one big old conspiracy to fuck Tupacs legacy over... because ain't no body in their right mind could release such garbage as retail... they ain't selling that much either.... Pac on his own, could sell millions... and he's done it.... Pac has enough truth and talent to be able to go platinum times 10 if they just released shit the way Pac did it....I can understand all the issues regarding the original production... having to sound like todays market.. but i dont get it, i dont hear 50 cent soundin like a little girl or bein digitally altered to rap faster than Twista... or rap as slow as a sloth walks.... it's all one fuckin big conspiracy... I got love for Afeni Shakur, she did alot in the name of justice and freedom.. and she's given us so much, when she could of just decided not to... but whoever is pulling the strings needs a reality check and needs to listen to Tupacs fans... we might not know whats best for him, but what we do know.. is this musical homicide committed that needs justice

I think RUST and BD were good shit (RUST, >BD), SIR decent and resurrection i dont know should count or not besides the few new tracks. the new ones were at least better than ones Em did on Loyal. but i get what youre sayin as in thinkin about this one track and loyal to the game

ras - talkin about the beats consistent and a feel to the album; all we got here is one track so far lol

I don't see why everyones still bitching, yall knew it was going to end up like this! Be happy you still get to hear new Pac songs!!!
