I Just Quit My Job

I hated it, it was the worst job I have ever held in my life. So I stopped and asked myself, when oh when, is money a good enough reason to dread waking up everyday, see your relationships with friends and family suffer, be under a ridiculous amount of stress, see your hair come out from the stress, see your weight fluctuate from being stressed, witness your 4.0 GPA drop all the way to a 3.0.......


Today, I came to the conclusion that money is never worth all of that, so I quit.

I know whatcha mean. I had this job that affected my family & friends needs as well. But most of all, it was a strain on my mind, and shouldn't nobody have to kill their self just to make a living. I almost had a breakdown, so I quit. A lot of people told me, "That's life, this is the real world..." That definetely ain't livin' to me. actually, I was and usually am a very active member unless I get caught up in daily outside activities that prohibits me from sitting in front of a computer replying to threads. Unfortunately, between my job, school, and a relationship, I just didn't have the spare time like I used to. And unless I run around free posting typing "LOL" or "yeah" or "I agree" etc, I do not have the time to actually read a thread and respond to it. Well, now I do because I have no job to go to, hence the reason I am here.

Why are you such a bitter person? Or is this just your e-personality?

bitter? no. i just call it how i see it and just because you happen to have a vagina i'm not going to sugar coat jack freakin' squat. i'll explain to you why i said what i said, and this being a message forum for opinions you can disagree or agree, i could give three fucks - but i'm not wrong for saying what i am saying. i find it sad and pathetic when people post little anecdotal excerpts of their pathetic little lives in this forum and not expect or tolerate any feedback. i'm sure you wanted all of us to unilaterally and consecutively say, "don't worry, bucko. things will get better, trish. omfg i love your new hair," but i think that whole aspect some people bring to the net should be admonished and removed from the internet. take that shit to dalnet or usenet.

if you posted an article to a 10 year old in bangladesh giving birth to octopulates i'd be cool with it, but i don't care about your grand am, i don't care about your job, and i don't care that you quit it. am i bitter? not really. every single person i have ever met will give me a glowing recommendation without hesitation. but do i like people who troll for attention, affection, and validation? mmm, not so much.

in the future i'd appreciate internet postings that are palatable for all users of this forum - not just those who will feed you false affections because it makes their inexperienced nether regions feel all tingly when you respond.

1) indeed i did
2) negative. i am bringing a new life into the world. she is quitting a part time job. the two are inequal. additionally, i do not have a history of "look at meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" posts and threads, and nor do i initiate romantic (whether in play or serious) side conversations with others on the internet. what i am, however, is someone who posts in the life forum being that this is a 2PAC BOARD. try searching some people's post histories. oopsie, i see several 0 counts for the life forum. perhaps www.drphil.com may be a better site for those who want to feel warm and fuzzy with the validation that other people with internet subscriptions also wipe their asses sideways.

i mean seriously, if my non-seat belt wearing ass took a break from the board and then came back after a while just to post about how my tummy is making gurgling sounds because my phone bill is in the triple digits, how could i not be a waste of skin?
