Today on hot 97's morning radio show, it was reported in their celebrity news that Amaru reached out to Def Jam/Rocafella to get in contact with Jay-Z to appear on 2Pac's double disc album which is slated to be released on Decemeber 1st, but that Jay-Z declined the offer. There was no word on why Jay declined the offer, but the hosts made a joke and said "Biggie 4 Life".

Now I'm not sure where the news reporter, DJ envy got his source from, but I believe he didn't pull it out of this out of his ass also. He has ties to the industry and connections so I take his words. But he's reported other things such as 50 exec. producing this upcoming 2pac album and I haven't seen a source for it and am not fully sure if I truely believe so. I'm not saying it's all out true or false, but I believe what he's saying though.

My point is that I hope Amaru gets the message that begging big time artists, especially artists that Pac had not so kind words for to appear on his new album is pathetic. And I'm very happy that Jay-Z declined the offer to appear on a track next to 2Pac. I hope they get some kind of a clue.

Pittsey, when you do your interview, do me and or all of us a favor and please ask Amaru if they really indeed contacted Jay-Z and why you believe he declined the offer?

Also if you can, ask if indeed true who at Amaru came up with the idea for Jay-Z to appear on the album.

its gay how Amaru offers all these rappers to bust out a verse with Pac, especially with the rappers he's been beefing with him. Makaveli must be spinnin' like a mofo in his grave.

do you know how long it took puffy to convince jay to hop on an unreleased biggie track? he doesnt like to jump on songs with artists who have passed. it took 9 years for jay to finally appear on an official biggie track, which was on the duets album.

thats good to hear. december 1st, i hope they dont miss this date if indeed it is the slated release date. everythings too sketchy, amaru should come out and clear some shit up.

umm, no. biggie was alive when "I Love The Dough" was recorded w/ jay-z. He actually had a say in that album, it took about 9 months to record (the album).

I just hope we don't end up with any guest artists that 2Pac had problems with on the new album.

damn i could fuckin cry. KEEP IT OG WHEN IT COMES TO 2PAC ALBUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEEEEEEEEEASE

It's 2006! Why the shit would they keep it in the sound of 96'? Pac was ahead of his time, but not a decade ahead of his time. Let them add some new flavor to the tracks. I personally enjoyed LTTG. Why do they need to get a clue? They just need to learn how to promote Pac's shit better is all.

They should keep is music in the sound of '96 because that was what it was meant for. It wasn't meant to be remixed with popular rap artists of today, or to be remixed with new beats so people can bump this shit in the club. It was meant to be released so Pac's message could be passed on even in the event of his death.

they took an existing verse and used it on one of the tracks

i seem to remember jayz saying amaru reached out to him for a song on lttg and him saying he was going to be on that album. maybe it wasnt lttg. but maybe he didnt want to be on it since they made him look stupid last time around
