In less than one week, I am going to Scotland. I am from Baltimore, MD and I have never been outside of the continental US before. Please alert me of any things that may be of use outside of the standard. For example, shut the fuck up.

Sincerely yours,
Bino

1. DON'T look directly into their eyes, they might think you are challenging their territory.
2. Don't touch them while they are eating, they might attack.
3. Don't turn your back on them...That's when they attack.
4. And for gods sake, dont ask them "what are you wearing underneath that kilt?" They are just waiting for an excuse to pull it out.

Its a shame you were not coming a week earlier, the reason being nas is doing a concert in glasgow tonight! an im fuckin going! i cant wait, by the way im scottish an ive never tried on a kilt in my life, there is supposed to be a heatwave coming so bring your sun glasses.

People with Ginger hair originate from Scotland, and also, correct me if I'm wrong, so do Albino's. Don't say to them 'your hair is on fire mate' or you might get pummeled.

That would be Ireland actually - where Scottish ancestry can be traced back to.

Anyways Bino, although the natives don't find it that cold, Yankees tend to find it freezing so wrap up warm.

Even if there is a 'heatwave' you will still probably be cold.

My great auntie was born in Glasgow but has lived in California for the past 40 years & she was here last summer & - during one of the hottest days we had all year (as in, people were dehydrated & feeling ill with all the heat) - she was wrapped up in a thick, wooly jumper & scarf....go figure.

30-32 degrees celsius are the hottest we'll have & only once or twice a year.

Once a year! You mean once in a blue moon ;) We have better weather than you and it sucks here most of the time except for the summer. Real advice, bring your rain jacket!

Yeah man, it doesn't happen often but I thought I'd give teh example of last summer which was about in that area.

The weather here is beautiful though, really.

I don't think there is anywhere else in the world where you can experience rain, sunshine, hail, snow, heat & cold all in a couple of hours.
