i'm aware they did california love and u can't c me. supposedly there's another song called blunt tyme. Some dude on some other site said there was an interview with suge on april 4 after his court hearing where suge said he talked to dre after 11 years and they were planning on releasing a cd called "pac n dre" with 13 unheard pacs songs produced by dre. I think it's bullshit.

Yeah that was on april the 1st(April fools day) looks like your the fool. Only jokin man.:thumb:

Whenever the topic of unreleased songs comes up, it's nothing but speculation. We don't know what was laid down back in 96'. There could be a lot of Pac-Dre tracks that we don't know about.

That interview was fake, but it had a point.

People actually think these guys only did two songs together. I look at them like they crazy for even asking that. N***a Pac couldn't go a single session with any given producer without laying down five or six songs!!

I doubt Cali Love, Cali Love Remix, Can't C Me, and Blunt Tyme (if that's even real) are the only tracks him and Dre did together.

blunt tyme is as real as Cali Love (2 or 3 Dre Verses)

believe that like u believe crack
3 Dre verses, no Pac.

And it's hard to believe Blunt Tyme, I believe the rumor originated from a member at The Vaultz.

it originated in 98, and a few interviews confirmed it is real. if i'm not mistaken, rbx himself confirmed it.

with regard to pac and dre, pac had problems with dre almost immediately after joining death row. people with the bill bellamy interview can see that pac isn't really acting cool with dre. i'd estimate their total collaborations down to about a half dozen.

...also remember that toss it up og was pac and dre. dre later left and used the beat for blackstreet, and the song was remixed to interpolate dre's beat.

I thought the shit was 1 that pac just picked up @ some point & was originaly just the other dudes on it. (with dre havin produced the original before left). Or was that some bullshit that 1 of the lawz had said?

Also have seen that pac originally recorded it over the og, no digity beat but

I thought that too, especially after reading XXL's The Making of Makaveli:

That's a song that was already done. Suge had it done with Danny Boy and Jodeci on it. That's my least favorite song on Makaveli. 'Pac just got on the track and did his thing. That was some shit him and Suge had already worked out. And the crazy part that a lot of people don't know is that that song was originally to [Blackstreet's] "No Diggity" beat, 'cause [Dr.] Dre had did that "No Diggity" beat while he was still at Death Row. And Suge had it. But then Dre sold the shit to Teddy Riley. The beginning of those songs were almost exactly alike. I don't know who bit off of who. I ain't here to start no shit, but in the beginning, "No Diggity" and "Toss It Up" were almost exactly alike. Yeah, you would have to be there to know that.

E.D.I. is a member of this board? j/k

so Dre produced Toss It Up OG??? i didn't know that but that would make sense... and then pac disses him on it... lol... funny shit... "thanks for the beat - FAGGOT!!"

I wouldn't say that he produced the OG, Pac just used the beat (intended for something else), but this is the chain of events that I assume occurred:

* Dr. Dre produces the "No Diggity" beat (not sure if it was originally entitled "No Diggity" but I doubt it was "Toss It Up")
* Suge has Danny Boy and Jodeci record "Toss It Up" over the same beat
* Pac decides to be included in the song
* Big problems arise between Dre and Death Row, ending with Dre leaving
* BLACKstreet's "No Diggity" single comes out on the radio and the music video is out
* Pac records a second verse dissing Dre
* Death Row producers re-do the beat, probably to keep things fresh and new and so that there weren't two songs out that sound the same

would all make sense!

How can all this happen in that amonut of time? Remember how long it took pac to record Makaveli. For No Diggidy and the video, and then Pac goin' back to the studio to do the SECOND verse. What I think is that Toss It Up wasn't really suppose to be on Makaveli. The whole theme and situation around the song is bullshit

Well, it did happen in that amount of time. It only took Pac three days to record Makaveli, but that is irrelevant since Toss It Up was not recorded during those three days but was later added to the tracklist when the direction of the album strayed away from its original plan of being more of an underground album. It's nothing new.
