Hot Rumours and Unconfirmed News: 50, Jay-Z and More

#1
50 Cent G-Unit label will be dropped from AFTERMATH RECORDS: With recent rumblings about 50 Cent and his handling of his dispute with The Game, there are rumours that 50 and his G-Unit label will sever ties with their parent Aftermath Label owned by Dr. Dre.

Though G-Unit will remain under the Shady records umbrella, it is not expect to have any dealings with with Aftermath. Dr. Dre is expected to continue collecting royalties previous G-unit album sales but wants nothing to do with Fiddy.

Jigga Shopping for Producers: It's being heard that Jay-Z is in talks with producers for his not so secret comeback album. There are no ideas on who he will work with or what dream callabos he will be introducing.

Def Jam Signs Jadakiss, talks to Nas: It appears as if Jadakiss has jumped ship over to Def Jam, which honestly, won't make much a difference since there have been rumours of a bidding war over the Lox between Def Jam and Diddy's Bad Boy label.

Also rumors are going around about Nas jumping ship to Def Jam. Nas has been optimistic about doing songs with "ex' rival Jay-Z in recent interviews. There have been reports of Nas meeting with L A Reid the head Def Jam in recent weeks, however no one is certain of which direction Nas intends to take his career labelwise.

My thoughts:

Dre should drop G-Unit

Jigga needs to make sure the label has the right weapons and is doing a good job with having the big names, but so far we haven't heard any drops from Def Jam aside from his Roc-a-Fella counterparts (Kanye, Gunz, Bleek, etc.)

'Kiss moving to Def Jam is a good move for the record selling aspect of music, and it can almost be assumed that he'll be making the same type of shit he's been making, not too many pop-type records.

Nas isn't leaving, he's gonna start his own shit.
