Some people say homosexuals are born that way. In order to disprove that, you say that there hasn't been any genetic evidence.
But if they can't show that people are born straight through genetic evidence, they can't show sexual preference period. See what I'm getting at?
So saying that there isn't a gay chromosome isn't a valid argument because there isn't a straight chromosome either.
Until they find a way to show that people are born straight, they can't show that people are born gay.
And them not finding a gay chromosome doesn't prove anything either way. Just because they can't find it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Kareem said:no i get what your saying, what i was trying to prove is that the basic response from people here is "Oh he or she was born gay" which is a myth thats no scientific proof at all which supports that.
Kareem said:im not gonna pay for your health care when you contract hiv.
Kareem said:Pittsey asked why compare homosexuals to child molesters an rapists because all those groups claim they can not contain or control their feelings.

Chronic said:Doesn't prove it's wrong. There's simply no proof that it's right. Huge difference. So no, you don't know that it's a myth.
You would pay for a straight person that caught HIV then right?
Nowadays when you have sex there is always a risk. Sure anal sex has a higher risk but fact remains there's always a risk. So basically anyone that has sex risks catching HIV.
You say you won't pay for the health care of a gay person because gay sex has a higher risk, right? So where exactly is the border? At 40% risk? 50% risk? 52,5532% risk? Why will you pay for straight people that have sex knowing that there's a risk? Because they're not gay? Sounds like mindless discrimination to me.
And what about straight people that engage in anal sex? What about homosexuals that don't engage in anal sex?
LOL.
What are you saying? Either you're saying that homosexuals can't control themselves meaning that when they see a person of the same sex they just lose it and try to rape them. Well, that's complete and utter bullshit. Or you're saying that they claim that they can't help feeling attracted to people of the same sex. But... aren't heterosexuals like that too? I know I can't help but feel attracted to a girl when she's hot. So then heterosexuals are the same as child molestors too, if I go by what you're saying.
Kareem said:no your misunderstanding me im not saying every homosexual is lurking behind a tree waiting for the opportunity to rape someone, im saying the "born with it myth" ok, gays say" i was born this way so i can not help nor have a choice in my lifestyle", ok so what stops the career child molesters an rapists from making the same claim?
Kareem said:k here ya go im sure someone here will blast this an say its biased but i couldnt find anything biased about it.
Yet the national organizations continue to offer the essentialist argument as a guide for law and public policy. No reputable scientist on either side of the political spectrum would disagree with the conclusion of Friedman and Downey. Even the gay-activist researchers themselves who studies have been used by the media to trumpet the message that homosexuality is biologically determined do not support the "born that way" myth.
Simon LeVay, the author of the hypothalamus study, noted, "It's important to stress what I didn't find. I did not prove that homosexuality was genetic, or find a genetic cause for being gay. I didn't show that gay men were born that way, the most common mistake people make in interpreting my work" (Nimmons, 1994 , p. 64).
Dean Hamer, the author of the "gay gene" study, agreed: "We knew that genes were only part of the answer. We assumed the environment also played a role in sexual orientation, as it does in most, if not all behaviors...(Hamer and Copeland, 1994 , p. 82). Hamer further emphasizes, "Homosexuality is not purely genetic...environmental factors play a role. There is not a single master gene that makes people gay...I don't think we will ever predict who will be gay" (Mitchell, 1995 ).
LeVay, the gay activist researcher, made an interesting observation about the emphasis on the biology of homosexuality: He noted, "...people who think that gays and lesbians are born that way are also more likely to support gay rights"

the fact is ; "The Beautiful Men Thread" [or whatever it was] proved that people on this board are extremely homophobic. For fucks sake as if a guy cannot tell what guy is ugly and what guy can pull the chicks.
Grow up a little and get with the times you homophobes
So what are you suggesting, "homoism" or "homism"? That sounds so...gay.kman_69 said:nah seriously, i think IF "homophobia" was refered to as an "ism" instead of a "phobia"...it would be taken much more seriously.

Instead of the Gay and Lesbian Rights group, there's going to be a Men Like Girl and Girl Like Men rebel group.
