Ok don't know if this has been discussed before but i just saw the video for the track. I was wondering what the story behind this track is. Did Pac record this originally with Scarface for Rap-Alot? If so why would Scarface make a cheap ass layered mix with Pac's verse instead of using the acapella? Also in the video they have footage of Pac rappin the verse that I aint seen before. Where was that recorded? I have heard it is in Rap-Alot studios, and if this is the case then Rap-Alot should have the acapella or at least a cheap rip of that video footage. Well don't know the history on the track. Thanks for the answers in advance.

its a freestyle recorded on a camcorder with the beat playing in the background,they dont have an acapella,and thats why the quality isnt so great

There's really not that much story to this. Pac videotaped a freestyle to the Runnin on E beat. They simply spliced that freestyle into the Homies and Thugs track.

I still don't understand why they'd use that verse out of all the available verses. The song is hot, but Pac's verse sounds like shit.

Simple; Scarface was with Pac when he did that freestyle and he mentions his name. Not hard to figure.
