His mother could have lived....

That's fucked up man, she should be fired. Forget how long she's been on the force, letting somebody die is letting somebody die whether it's your first day or your 40th year.

Now back to the thread...

It's definitely a massive tragedy, but as always there's two sides to the story. How many 911 callls are hoaxes? It's more than one or two, it's probably hundreds if not thousands per year. The operator obviously had experienced hoax call before and mae the wrong decision due to that. Most people would.

It was mentioned why not send an someone over anyway and if it was a hoax tell the kid off? Well picture this scenario. What if it WAS a hoax and the snet someone over. Meanwhile somewhere else, a seriously injured person dies due to the emergency services being sent over to the hoax call. Then people would complain about the operator being and idiot for listening to a three year old kid. So she's fucked either way. And being realistic, the above scenario has probably happened, and these experiences, and here information on the situation, lead to the operator making the decision she made.

I think the real problem is all the cunts making hoax calls. If these idiots didn't do what they do, then guarenteed this trajedy wouldn't have happened (or at least the emergency services be sent earlier).
man then whats the point int elin kids to call 911. fuck it she made a major mistake & tried to be ignorant about it Right Off the bat. just cause a kid calls its a hoax, n not some fat ass grown lady callin cause they got her order wrong @ mcdonalds

ooooohh, man... if it was me right now, i'd find where she lived, kidnap her and tie her to the walls of my basement....sadisitic?? yes... but i tend to over react sometimes

but i'd have her down there for so long.... practice my serves on her... hell, i might take up baseball and use her crotch as the strike zone... never will my curveball hit the zone as well as it will then....then reenact the boondock saints with my paintball gun.....should be fun

Naw, i'm actually more upset that I've only recorded 4 tracks and they're all easier on the ears than what you put out. I don't know why that upsets me but it does.
Of course anything you make is going to be easier on your ears than anybody elses. lol wow...not 2 mention your shit is usually produced/mixed by somebody else - which is why your Dame Grease recording sounded like complete trash, cuz you don't know how to mix.

Gotti and plenty others know whats up.

It's not like one cop goes and investigates every call by himself, there are more than one, obviously. So why not send one over, there are other cops to handle the other jobs.

^true, BUT:
how could a kid call for help ? it was smart enough to dial 911 and call again after nobody showed up.
you could argue the kid should have called a relative or gone over to the neighbours ... but keep in mind, its 5(?) fucking years. it clearly is the operators fault. operator is in charge and has the responsibility.[/QOUTE]

I'm not sure what you're implying here. Are you saying because the kid was dialled 911 it is automatically the operators fault, based n the fact that 6 year olds (I checked the original report) aren't smart enough to dial 911? That really doesn't make sense. I've got a 2 1/2 year old cousin who can ring the emergency services (its 999 here) and act like its a joke and also use my mobile phone. Kids aren't stupid. Sure the operator made a mistake, but I doubt that mistake was out of malice or out of total incompetence. There may have been circumstances (eg a lot of hoax calls in the past) that made dismissing a 6 year old calling her that much easier.

It was in Detroit, where, so I've heard there is a lot of cirme going on. Now I don't know how big in personnel the emergency services are, but in most large cities they are stretched at the best of times.

I'm not saying she wasn't to blame in some part, but there are other factors hat have to be taken into account.

She is to blame in all accounts, she thought she did what was right and was wrong. No one else is to blame but her, it's simple.

this happens in detroit more often then is being told. there was another womans 911 call that was released who never got help either. she is now in a wheel chair. also there was 2 women involved apparently in the case with the boy.

Yes, I am saying it is her fault, because it was her who was called. It is her fault - of course she didnt intend it to happen - because it is her job to answer 911s and direct the police. Im not saying 6 year olds are stupid. I just wanted to say, how ELSE could a kid call for help, if not even 911 believes them - because they are kids.
A tragedy? Yes. Should she be punished? Yes. Shot etc.? Of course not, she didnt intend to let the mother die.

Get my point ?

ps: It doesn't matter how many fakes she answered, it is her job and responsibility to act. Look, if a soldiers is on guard, you say hes already in the grave with one foot and in jail with the other.
