Ok, ass-fuck. Yes, I have. But maybe you haven't heard of people doing the same from HP.com and Best Buy.com for their orders, only to have them get their orders cancelled. There was a rule of thumb I can not remember but it was something like "if it says being processed, you're good, but if it says shipping soon, it might get cancelled."
So what I'm asking is what is Amazon's message/notification/update to your status order that indicates "yes, you will get it. We did not magically run out of stock overnight and will not cancel your order. it's coming in the mail soon."
That's what I want to know. Is this email that, or do I wait for another one? Usually the next email I get is once it's shipped and the tracking information for it.
Yeah, I was drunk. I think Amazon's inventory system is legit enough that they won't sell something they don't have. I could be wrong.
I've changed my tune somewhat and I'm kinda thinking about getting one now lol. Apparently, a few of the major tech stores in the UK will have them for £80 or so tomorrow, which is.... just insane. The bounty now to get Android on it is a few thousand dollars and increasing. At the very least, it'll likely hold the value until the Transformer 2 comes out, and with a full Android ROM it will certainly increase, so I could flip it....
I'm not sure though. I don't usually buy things JUST because they're cheap, but I am considering it.
I will buy it and sell it to Coonie for 1 Million Dollars. Haaaa Haaaa Haaaa Haaaa.
Well, if you already have a tablet, maybe it's a different story. But for some of us that have not hopped in the pool yet because of pricing or just simply waiting for the tablet app store be bountiful with quality apps, this is a no-brainer.
It gets us into wading into the market, and some may just stay there and not buy another tablet. Others will take on the task of putting Android on it (face it, it's gonna happen, it'll just be a matter of time), such as myself, and see what happens from there.
I'll give webOS a chance, though. But if Android is out, I would much rather have the app warehouse of the Android market than webOS's. Even though I have explicitly said I am not buying this specific tablet for the apps, and more so just for the experience, if the opportunity arises to enjoy tablet games on it, I will make the jump to Android for it.
What if iOS got put on it first? Haha. I dunno the technicalities and the likelihood, but they certainly have got webOS on an iPad....and it ran faster than it did on the TouchPad.
Ah, I see. Didn't think about the closed-source part of it.Yeah. I do already have my NookColor and I barely use it. So I dunno......
As for iOS... it's closed source for one, and it's not based on Linux. I'm pretty sure it's not possible to port iOS. If it is, it's never been done.
