I never read the Bible in English. So, fuck you, Jokeyboy.

i have a high IQ, i wouldnt do anything i say.
No, I was deducing it to being luck that he survived the shooting, not that he got shot. I don't have data on how often people survive five shots to the body like 'Pac did but it's safe to assume it doesn't happen all the time. That's where I included luck. Tupac called it a work of God, in a sense.
i dont have the folder in front of me but there was at least three bullets he was shot in the head at least once, thigh, and hand. the bullet that started in thigh wasnt the same as the bullet that hit his hand. when he fell they shot him in the headA whole different debate. But there were 2 bullets.1 went through his hand, his nutsack and into his groin. The other 2 marks on his head were from the same bullet.
i didnt say people don't just believe in theirselves, you were detracting from self reliance in the discussion on faith. so I pointed out they don't have to be seperate. And on the 'hope' thing. Why does it HAVE to be intertwined? Why cant they just believe in themselves ALONE?
SOFI i think we're splitting hairs now, that was just the way I thought you painted it. but in the 'luck I think i put my position with you can technically 'prove' alot of shit from becoming rich to a bus not hitting

apparently it was his oposite hand and the other bullet went thru the back of his thigh firstI believe the gun was pointed at this stomach. He pushed the gun down. It went off. The bullet went through his hand, through his nuts and into his thigh.
even though id be repetitive, but people do say How lucky were you, Thank God"Acts of luck don't prove the existence of a god.
Hardly any facts? LOL. Science is ALL facts and evidence. That is the point. As Sebastian said, that is a very ignorant thing to say.
There was no "Eve", LMFAO. They have bones and evidence of pre homo-sapiens (ie, the previous form of life we evolved from), from over 200,000 years ago. I did see some religious idiots claiming they found "the bones of Eve" from 6,000 years ago. Which clearly is a complete crock of shit, funny how they shut up when everybody else asked for some evidence or carbon dating.
And Christopher Langan is FAR from being "the smartest man in the world" lol. It's not even close. He has a high IQ. That's all. That's the potential for intelligence. Not intelligence itself. Technically he may have a higher IQ than Einstein, but if you believe he's smarter than Einstein was you'd have to be smoking crack. I didn't address that post originally because it was obviously laughable horseshit, but since you decided to repost it....
So you believe in god because your computer you thought was broken turned on? No, you had faith before that and you attributed random occurences to it.
First, "the smartest man in the world" is a media-created phrase that is virtually meaningless. All he did was score high on an IQ test, which just shows he's good at answering questions that are on IQ tests. In research, the term "intelligence" is far too vague to be useful. In the 1960s, "intelligence" used to be defined as "what is measured with an IQ test." Great scientific definition, huh? Now the term "cognitive functions" is used, and it tries to measure a lot more than IQ tests do. You should read The Mismeasure of Man by Stephen jay Gould, if you're interested in intelligence testing and what's wrong with it.
Langdon is simply saying the universe is like a mind and our minds are parts of this big mind. This is not a new idea and I think it's a good way as any to look at it. However, he chooses to call this metaphor "the Mind of God," but he does not relate it to any religion's conception of "God." One could say the same thing by calling it "the Universe." The point is, his theory or mathematical "proof" (which he has yet to present 10 years after he said he had it) should not be taken up by religious believers in God as backing up their faith belief. It's got nothing to do with it. If he has anything beyond theory, it's simply a description of the universe like other scientific descriptions. He just irresponsibly and unscientifically uses the word "God."
And rich and successful people often thanking God is not evidence that God helped them. It's just evidence that poor and unsuccessful people who have belief in God do not go blaming God for their bad luck or lack of motivation. But to be fair, they should, (cause even heaven got a ghetto). It's probably also evidence that you watch a lot of award shows with black people who out of cultural habit feel they have to thank God every time they win something.
50 Cent: "I want to thank God for inspiring me to write, "Smack Dat Hoe in the Fat Ass with a Fat Dick." In fact, God gave me that title. I was gonna call it "You're Beautiful" but God said, no, you want a hit, then Smack Dat Hoe." (Audience, which includes Shadows, cheers, their faith once more being affirmed)
I'm confused about your post Shadows..
Why did you believe the millionaire? Because he had money?
And you just recently became religious? Why? I'm curious. I mean, what led you to decide that you needed religion and a deity in your life?
Of course there are. I was just making a joke, showing the extent that some people go to fool themselves or give lip service this way. What about Tony Gaskins? I've never seen or heard of him do ANYTHING negative, like 50cent.
Or non-black people. There are plenty of people that are not of african descent that mention God.
And you don't really need that much knowledge to become a millionaire. In fact, intellectual knowledge is usually a detriment to making money. Not many rich poets or philosophers. No, connections and a good personality are usually some of the needed qualities to make a lot of money. Also, greed. Sometimes talent and drive, of course.

that's why i put Eve in quotes bro. It was the oldest female bone that was older than what science said the world was older at the time. so science up to that point was wrong. .
No. I'm just saying, he is following the book. He's a motivational speaker, speaking on what the morals in a way you probably didn't think of before because he studied the book.
Those words immediately follow the words Chronic posted
fuckin genius over here
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible: but with God all things are possible
