i think the whole "it took 13 million to produce this album" is supposed to be more of a "look at what fucking dipshits we are" rather than "so imagine the quality of this album". anybody who uses 13 million on a cd knows they fucked up lol. it never impressed me at all as i know it's like paying a gardner ten million to cut your grass. nothing justifies the money spending.

Wow...that may well be the worst metaphor of all time.
not really, i hear what he's saying, it wasn't a great metaphor but it worked. and he's right. there is no justification for spending 13 million on an album, especially since it puts the label in a position where it is of no benefit to them to release it. it will be nearly impossible for them to get their money back, never mind actually seeing a profit from it. but how much you wanna bet that now that these songs have leaked out, Axl will want MORE time to work on the album so he can change it lol. and if it does get released, considering the time and enormous amounts of money wasted on it, it could end up being one of the biggest musical flops of all time. the Waterworld of Rock albums lol.

yeah, what i meant is you have great hobby musicians who arguably out-play the legends, and those would be way cheaper. i don't even know what the money went to, but i imagine ridiculously expensive equipment and notorious musicians who overcharge a lot because their famous name allows it. this album could have been just as good with a smaller budget, so that's what i meant. it shouldn't have to take 13 million to make an album, that's one for the Guinness book.

edit: to further clarify my point, without suggesting it's anything like that or denying they used the money, this just smells like a trick they pulled for pr. maybe it's not, i don't think it is, but that's what it feels like, so.

ten songs:
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

unknown amount of songs:
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

this is about 350 mb so not sure what they are, but anyways:
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

edit: first two are the same, although the filesizes vary in a few hundred bytes or kilobytes on every mp3, so maybe different rips. who knows which is a transcode, if not both. currently downloading the 4-part version to see what that is all about.

edit 2: okay, the four files make up an image file in .nrg format of an 8-track cd. i don't know but these sound like different rips or something. i don't know which tracks are which, they don't seem to be in the same order as the others. this is my first time hearing these songs though so i don't know them by heart, it's just a bunch of different guitar sounds to me at this point. militant? ;)

^^nice, i'll be interested too. i generally consider guns n roses a little noisy for my liking, but these tracks sounded pretty alright.
