I realize this thread has very little chance of surviving beyond a day or two, but I watched this with my wife last night and thought it was fine moviemaking.

I don't remember who said it, but someone did: "Movies are rarely great art, so they must aspire to be great trash."

Gothika is great trash.

But then I look up its reviews and see that people friggin' hated it. Why? Any movie that can have a shower scene with Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz and NOT make me want to have sex with them is a well-made movie.

I was very high when I saw it in theaters, all I remember is that lazy-eyed black guy looking like he ate Halle Berry's face when he kissed her...

Else from that...yeah it sucked lol

Spoiler:

Honestly, I think that dude that played the rapist (her husband) played it so well. Now, every time I see the dude playing in a role, I despise the dude.

Besides that, the movie did kind of suck.

i never forget that male (charles S Dutton s.p?) actor as the character who saved LT. Ripley from getting her ASS raped a new hole in the maximum Prison in Alien 3.
