You can go to a shop like Topman/Topshop and buy a top for £30. But then you will see 100's of people wearing the same thing. Or you can go to Harvey Nics and get a top for £300. But you probably won't be seeing someone else wearing it.

You can't buy style. But better clothes cost more money. Just the same with better cars. You can look good in a mini. But you'll look better in a Veyron.

Sometimes the fact that more people have something is not a bad thing. Even if 1% of your country wore the same model of the nicest Nike/(insert any popular company) shoes they would still be the nicest and you would still be in a minority of those who wear stylish shoes.
Then you could spend a lot of money for shoes that look like this:

And most probably you wouldn't look better. Chances are most people would consider them ridiculous.
Maybe except of people who designed them and those who have no style and a lot of money to buy them.

Same with cars - you can buy an expensive car that looks more gay than a cheaper one.

I'd say it's just easier to buy something better while spending more money but it's not a rule.
I see people who dress terribly while wearing expensive clothes daily.
You can't buy style and the most terrible thing you could do would be thinking that you have style because you are wearing expensive clothes that not even necessarily match.

There are always exceptions to the rule. The Hummer, for example. But on the whole, the better a product, the greater the price.

And I agree, about not being able to buy dress sense. But if you don't have it you are going to look silly whatever you wear. On the whole nicer materials cost more, nicer designs cost more.

i wear glasses on occasion, True fact..i found an exact pair of frames a few yrs ago that Pac wears on his Me against the world album.

some people can wear glasses that can make them look good, i for one cant pull if off. that why the majority of my time. i wear contacts. you should invest in contacts woody

You have been clothes?
LOL. yeah in one of my past lives.
Like Carmi said, you can dress nicely for quite cheap or pay shitloads of cash and look ridiculous.
I enjoy paying more for more comfortable clothes but don't want their looks to stand out.
Also some brands are making millions by selling shitty but expensive clothes because there are many people with no style who buy whatever is more expensive.

I knew this girl in high school whose parents had tons of $. Once she came to a job training wearing something similar to a trash bag. She thought she was cool cause it cost a lot but really she looked lame.

Of course. But it's not cause it cost more than it's more stylish. As you said, you can't buy style. There are cheap clothes that are stylish like cheap clothes that are ugly. Same with expensive clothes.

But yeah, the more $ you pay, the better quality you get.

Money ≠ Style
