First Single (Feat. Bone Thugs) (Radio Rip)

Yo I just wanna say:

Huge props to Rukas. You got some fortitude, man. You've taken a view that is extremely unpopular on this board and defended it constantly and intelligently. I'm surprised someone would finally stand up and say something.

Personally I think each side has some validity to it, but I really think it is total BULLSHIT to automatically hate anything that has came out since the year 2000 and dismiss it as horrible, talentless, devoid of creativity, etc. I also think its absurd to automatically conclude that any song that came out before 1997 is superior to modern tracks.

I bet in 1996 on some shitty messageboards people were complaining about All Eyez On Me and Don Kiluminati, saying its not as good as older Pac and filled with garbage, vacuous, crap that encourages exploitation and has no message. Obviously that assessment is wrong and without merit, but I'm sure some fans were saying that in 96. Now, to us, that Pac music from 96 is the best music that exists. I know for me nothing gets more play in my Ipod than '96 pac tracks.

I think you're just hyped after hearing a new track from Pac. The novelty will wear off soon enough.

Hyped? dude, i aint no little kid who wets his pants at the sound of any new 'Pac track -. Aint no novelty wearing off, the tunes sick and theres nothing more to it. Your opinion is different and so is mine, nothing to do with Hype!

Hot beat, hot verses... but for FUCKS SAKE... pacs "i wanna get it on till i die", "i wanna get it on till i die", "ya'll remember me", "ya'll remember me" pisses me the fuck off. Common with all the material they have from pacs legacy.. including probally over 1,000 hours of speach, you think they could have come up with a half decent hook.

Even simply finishin the "ya'll remember me" with the : "legendary live eternally" would have made the hook bearable. Sounds like a shitty fan made attempt at cutting and pasting

all together i don't mind how they changed the vibe of the track but that hook fucken upsets me.

Words cant express how horrible this song is.The again i expected as much when i heard that the wackest producer of all time was producing it.

This song has the same verse as Killuminati. So are they just recycling old verses.?Im not looking forward to this album at all.I wish they would stop releasing 2Pac albums. At least when Death Row had control over Pac's music, they put it out close to the way he would have.

Honestly after listening to this track multiple times this morning at work I can say it grows on me more and more. Ok I am sure we would all love a '96' sounding track from tupac but as it is a decade after the last recordings of this great man I don't think we will ever hear an og or close to on the new album. This single has a few plus points it is a club track and although as qouted earlier in the thread pac said:
"My raps are a decision, rabble rousing, spiritual, like gospel music. I don't want to dance. We have so many things to deal with, we need to talk straight up and down."

He still made club tracks to dance to. Secondly we have artists that pac would or has worked with featuring. And last but not least pac was not shouting swizz beats who he had never met as seen on a previous realese by a certain producer.

Finally I would just like to add that I would like to hear the dirty version as the clean version annoys me even though I know what he says anyway

Peace:thumb:

Im verging on liking it..

Will be great to hear Pac in some clubs round here...

Yea, I might be going to a club tonight if my boys arent all broke so hopefully maybe ill hear it there. It'll be weird hearing it.. A new pac song in the club!

The track is str8 garbage...i prefer the krayzie bone verse...the beat simply doesnt fit pac's style at all. Really though its not a surprise...why some of you people get excited about new pac releases really does baffle me...his last few albums mite as well have been mixtape releases. Its a credit to pac himself that despite all the nonsense that has been released after his death he is still considered by the majority of hip hop heads to be the greatest rapper ever.

From a production stand point, not the beat, but the production on it is actually nice, the way Pac's vocals are made to stand out and the beat drops in and out around it. It's hard to comment on the actual beat and final production with such a shitty rip, and Im sure the CDQ will sound better.

The hook is alright too, I dont mind cut up hooks, it happens all the time with artists that are living, so I dont think there is any reason to bitch about that. His vocals are not cut up to say something he didnt say or represent an opinion or statement he never made as was the case with his "G-Unit" shout outs.

You can tell a lot of effort actually went into this song compared to previous offerings.

That however, does not make it a great track. Im not even sure if I would call it good.

Hmm... Oh well.. Swizz tried.

AGREE.... also i like the fact we have a Pac track with more than one verse by Pac and not 1 verse by Pac and 4 other guys on it. ..

As sad as this sounds, if Amaru was totally set on making this new single a "crunk" track, they might as well have gotten Lil Jon to produce it since he has quite a successful track record as far as that type of music goes. I CANNNOT believe that they inserted that douche bag Swizz into a 2Pac project. It was just like hearing that punkass Jadakiss on lttg all over again. Some people just simply don't belong anywhere near 2Pac's music and Swizz is definitely one of them.

I cant believe you would rather hear lil jon all over a tupac track than the man responsible for over half of dmx's hits...
