First Single (Feat. Bone Thugs) (Radio Rip)

Rest assured there is much better material on the album than this.

Amaru should have gone with what Johnny wanted to be the single. That track owns this one.

Tupac made the beat yes, produced, the song never sounded "produced" to me and you should know the difference.
keep in mind that the left eye version is not the og (it's close, but tweaked). anyway, it was good enough for a worldwide release ('cept the states) before, so why not now? would have been the perfect opportunity for noble to replace yaki and bark at me like some overweight dmx.

i wonder if 2pac produced the og to this song just for the fuck of it because he knew it could be remixed into a dmx song

Yeah exactly, I’m sure he just spent time making the beat, auditioning all the Outlawz for their best possible verses, added vocals and then sending the song down to get mixed just for shits and giggles, probably was just board messing around. Not like he cared about his music or anything everyone knows that.

In my opinion basterdizing Pac's vision over his own beat would have been a worse insult. So I am happy that didnt happen.

Regardless, the OG does not a single make, in any regard. Im sorry, but it looks like we are out of real Pac singles. In my opinion the last one was Changes anyway.

At least Pac is on beat, sounds like Pac, and its a hard Pac, and it will make the clubs. And as annoying as it is to US, the hook is catchy as fuck to the public, if promoted right, this will be a hit.

damn this some lame shit... yo they should sign 2pac to g-unit cuz is the same kind of music they put out! RIP pac... this is Blasphemy! loyal 2 the game worst pac cd... and this one is even going to be worst.. damn damn damn damn.... the only good thing is the lyrics!

i think there should be a re-done underground album produced by all the OGz Pac used to work with. That would sell harder than this trash. Guaranteed.

the funny thing is ...

... Krayzie Bone fits better than Pac ... on his own album. I am not talking about the flow. It's just like someone did a song with Krayzie and put Pac on it.

Make a beat that fits to Pac. Don't make Pac fit to the beat.

Simple, Kray is actually in the studio and can adapt to the beat and fit it. Im sure Pac would sound better on this beat than he does had he been able to write and record to it.

You'll never ever be able to recreate the chemisty between a rapper and the beat unless you build a new beat around the old one and even then, its never totally natural.

does any1 have a better sounding version..?

Im still trying 2 soak this in... im kinda speechless.. it just hit me that OG pac will never be released...

so i can be happy that wee dont have Ghetto Gospel 2 or be upset that we dont have true og pac joints..

at least this will be played at clubs.

From a production stand point, not the beat, but the production on it is actually nice, the way Pac's vocals are made to stand out and the beat drops in and out around it. It's hard to comment on the actual beat and final production with such a shitty rip, and Im sure the CDQ will sound better.

The hook is alright too, I dont mind cut up hooks, it happens all the time with artists that are living, so I dont think there is any reason to bitch about that. His vocals are not cut up to say something he didnt say or represent an opinion or statement he never made as was the case with his "G-Unit" shout outs.

You can tell a lot of effort actually went into this song compared to previous offerings.

That however, does not make it a great track. Im not even sure if I would call it good.

Hmm... Oh well.. Swizz tried.
