G'day G'day
Just wondering what everyone's favourite bands are and why is it that you like that band so much?

My favourite band of all time is probably Nirvana. When i was a child my brothers mate commit suicide after Kurt did and the song that was played at the funeral was Jesus doesn't want me for a sunbeam no more. It was 3 years later when i heard that song again that i started getting into Nirvana again
My favourite living band is probably green day. Insomniac CD was the story of my life at the time. I've always been able to relate to their music.
Radiohead is another one of my favourite bands because all of their albums are just so so solid. They are probably one of the greatest mellow rock bands ever.
At the moment i'm getting back into smashing pumpkins and REM.

Green Day. There's just something about them, I really can't explain it. They were really the band that 'saved' me from horrible mainstream pop music.

you do realise that that seems to be what green day fans are upset about in regards to their latest album.
I love their latest album, with each album they mature more, but alot of fans who were there from the very beginning are claiming that they've sold out and are too commercial

I think some people don't understand the difference between selling out and becoming popular. They can't help it if people like their music, and they shouldn't be berated for it. Not all pop[ular] music is bad.

The Doors. They are a classic example of late 60s rock, but their music hasn't aged over time, it's still popular. Jim Morrison was a legend. Definately a case of gone but not forgotten.

So you think Nirvana is over rated and guns n roses is up there.
ooooh, if you were one of my mates you'd be getting my lecture on why guns n roses are the worst thing that EVER happened to music.
I love slash though :)
