RFTP said:I disagree. Look at America now, people FEAR just the word terrorism. Like an article that was posted in Wow. 54%(or so I think) thought that muslims in America shouldn't be given same citizenrights as others. I also remember alot of people with these statements; "let's make those countries into parking lot". Why didn't a britt say that now? Cause THEY KNOW and are aware of terror attacks cause of IRA and such. But to say that americans weren't scared is really not the truth

that is because the people who are asked in these surveys are usually ignorant, un-educated and very isolated. They do represent a huge portion of America though, but is it their fault?
I can speak for the U.K and that isnt really true.RFTP said:People who made those surveys obviously didn't know who were dumb. They happened to ask a certain amount of people which they replied. Nonetheless, I'm not mentioning that as a fact or anything, but things have changed in EUROPE let alone America. People are AFRAID of what muslim is about and such.

saltynuts said:Where are you looking at America from? Most people around here aren't afraid of a word. I'm sure many people have worries in the back of their heads about getting blown up into pieces but Americans around here aren't fearful, people are living their normal lives so I don't get what you mean. I think it's the opposite, we all see those 'terror alerts' on CNN and they overdo it to the point where those alerts mean very little to the average American.
If you're talking about New Yorkers on 9/11 then I understand. I'm sure those people were scared shitless but people moved on, we stood up against the terror because us being scared was exactly what the terrorists wanted.
RFTP said:That's what this tiny debate was about. Sicc claimed that they (I'm assuming he ment either Americans, or New Yorkers cause that's where the attack happened) weren't afraid when it happened. I'm slightly disagreeing with the things I've read and such.
saltynuts said:I'm not going to answer for SicC but I do think the people in New York, I mean the people who were in the those buildings and those who were running for their lives were scared but America as a whole was not scared. I remember watching it on TV and I was thinking 'I can't believe this is happening' - I was shocked but I was never scared. I think that's what SicC was trying to say.
I think any normal minded person would see that 99% of muslims are law abiding citizens who would not condone what has happened today , just as they would not think catholics are all crazed sinn fien bombers . Being a muslim (and to be fair im no expert) does not mean kill people with bombs , nor does the word Muslim mean terrorism . I feel that some of your opinions in this post are in the extreme and maybe you should take time to think about what your actually saying .
PuffnScruff said:you could also have added in that last paragraph and even before bush ever was even running for office, bin laden and al quieda (i dont really give a F'n crap how its spelt) had attacked and killed american and non american long before 9/11
jaimie.uk fan said:. You sound like you think that the recent war in Iraq caused these terrorist attacks , that had the west left alone none of this would of happened ?? what about 9/11 ?? wasnt that before the recent campaign were Iraq was liberated from an evil man who tortured and murdered his own people . I think your foolish if you think the war in Iraq is the main reason in this , the guys involved in this are sympathetic about what went on but its not the main reason .
(1)Why are we fighting and opposing you? The answer is very simple:
(a) Because you attacked us and continue to attack us.
- These governments give us a taste of humiliation, and places us in a large prison of fear and subdual.
- You steal our wealth and oil at paltry prices because of you international influence and military threats. This theft is indeed the biggest theft ever witnessed by mankind in the history of the world.
- Your forces occupy our countries; you spread your military bases throughout them; you corrupt our lands, and you besiege our sanctities,
- You attacked us in Somalia; you supported the Russian atrocities against us in Chechnya, the Indian oppression against us in Kashmir, and the Jewish aggression against us in Lebanon and Palestine.
- the planes that bomb us in Afghanistan, the tanks that strike and destroy our homes in Palestine, the armies which occupy our lands in the Arabian Gulf, and the fleets which ensure the blockade of Iraq.
- You have starved the Iraqis, where children die every day. It is a wonder that more than 1.5 million Iraqi children have died as a result of your sanctions, and you did not show concern. Yet when 3000 of your people died, the entire world rises and has not yet sat down.
- These tragedies and calamities are only a few examples of your oppression and aggression against us. It is commanded by our religion and intellect that the oppressed have a right to return the aggression. Do not await anything from us but resistance and revenge. Is it in any way rational to expect that after America has attacked us for more than half a century, that we will then leave her to live in security and peace?!!
TecK NeeX said:lol You 2 really amaze me but that is expected from people who care about no one but themselves. yet it still sickens me on how uninformed you 2 are about the root causes of these 'terrorist attacks'.
Have you 2 ever considered listening to the people that attack you and why they attacked you? do you know what that website is now claiming? they're now saying these attacks in London were in retaliation to the massacres and atrocities the british military commited in Iraq and Afghanistan. for every action there is a reaction. how can we put an end to all this killing? stop fabricating lies to justify war against imaginary enemies to occupy their land for your own greed.
As for 9/11 and other attacks on Americans i will let Osama bin Laden himself answer that for you lol
Although i dont agree with his choice of targets i do understand where the guy is coming from, and you would to if you were in his shoes

roaches said:Fuck that. I feel for anyone who was killed or got hurt, but in the past two years about the same number of civilians daily have gotten caught up in the war on brown people.
but I understand your frustration and this is what I'm trying to say here. You know, it would've been so different if we could have this much tv coverage for the conflicts of dafur or anyother. Today they held a moment of silence in sweden. WHAT ABOUT THE AFRICANS AND OTHERS THAT ARE DIEING?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
