Everyone on this forum and other forums hated LTTG and so other peopel like Johhny J and The Game critisized it and it didn't sell well for a 2pac album either. Did that change anything? No.
It is stupid for people to be not buy the album to teach Amaru a lesson, oh yeah that will show 'em. The "hearts and minds" of Amaru need to be changed, much in the same way it was changed when they decided to start remixing the songs after RUSD was largely unchanged and sold 4 million albums.Obviously something changed, and it wasn't because they weren't selling enough albums.
I keep on hearing people say that they aren't oing to buy the album because if they do Amaru will think everyone loves it and will continue butchering his songs. Then other people say that we must buy it or they won't release any more albums.Neither is true, one reason is because even if every member of this forum didn't buy the album there would be no major impact. Not to mention,a large amount of the active members of this forum are too cheap or too poor to buy the album anyways, or they just don't buy many albums,2Pac isn't even their fav. rapper, etc.So Amaru will not even notice a difference.
Also, there are many facotors that go into album sales,if the album doesn't sell well, Amaru wouldn't even correlate that to backlash over remixing OG's. In fact, I am the only person I know that would even know what an 2Pac OG is. I am the only person I know that belongs to a 2Pac forum. In fact if the album doesn't sell well, Amaru will probably think they didn't remix it enough.I don't know what the answer is, but it is not boycitting 2pac's albums to support his legacy and it is not buying 3 or 4 either. The only way it will change is if Amaru had someone advising them and having oversight over albums than amatuers and the Wacklawz.
In conclusion, I will be buying ONE Pac's Life album just as I bought one AEOM, NMK, LTTG, and one Changes,Happy Home singles and one Rap Phenomenon 2 and soon to be one Remembering Makaveli 3.If I don't like a song on any of those albums, then I will skip over them(even if I skip the most of the cd),and I promise I will remember to cross it off your christmas list.
