i never really listened to elton john because for a while i was a bit ignorant.. i was thinking "oh he's gay, he can't be tight"... but then i got turned onto him and onto freddie mercury as well... elton's "indian sunset" which is the sample used in ghetto gospel is utterly amazing to me. i was looking for some tracks similar to this by elton, in which he tells a good story.

yea that double disc (its all white) is just about flawless.

If you are looking for albums (other then greatest hits/best of i mean) than pick up:

goodbye yellow brick road and madman across the water are classic!!!!

Good Rule: Look for his old stuff before you look for his new stuff.
