he collaborated with giggs. the beat was intended for b.o.b himself, but gave it to giggs with what was already b.o.b.'s chorus already completed; so giggs just did the verses.
anyway, i dont get all this drake hype either. i hate that he's using autotune as well. surely he can make a song better and still have everyone like the song if his voice didnt sound like it was breaking/crackling using unnecessary autotune.
its annoying to see my cousin, who ive given countless number of proper hip-hop and r&b tracks to (which by the way she liked and grew up on then started listening to the new music of those artists) now neglect all those in favour of i quote her facebook music preference:
Oh that was your girl?......I thought I recognized her, AronR Music, Lil Jon, Kid Cudi, The Game, Beyoncé, T.I., Aston Merrygold, Lil Wayne, Timbaland, H-DHAMI
AronR - some friend of hers, adolescent asian rapper from uk - most likely shit. ive heard a couple of tracks and its fuckin annoying how signatures his songs with his rap moniker.
Lil Jon - this guy just shouts. club music? fair enough.
Kid Cudi - most people have heard day and nite (primarily crookers remix) and thats about it over here. (oh and by the way, kid cudi is like a major inspiration to aronR... :S why cudi out of all rappers/musicians? need explanation on that one)
The Game - fair enough, back when he was with g-unit... and all those mixtapes i had.. the documentary was a solid debut.
Beyonce - fair enough, most girls i know like her.
TI - okay, shes liked ti for years now.
Aston Merrygold?? - whos that?
Lil wayne - people just dont learn..
Timbaland - the only thing i still like about timabaland is the fact that he has made great music before, especially with aaliyah and missy.. but not all things last and his music is rubbish in my opinion now, its just plain boring!!!! he still makes good faces though..
What even happened to eminem. i could always bet my house on it that she in the past would put him first in a list of favourite music. even d12, obie trice before lil wayne or drake.
times have changed. and i see all that crap she now listens to on msn... i conclude, people just dont care about real music anymore.
there will be no other roger troutmans, marvin gayes, james browns, tupacs, biggies, puns, michael jacksons, ray charles' and so on....
these are the times where a hit record is of higher importance than a classic record...
edit: and i saw gucci mane - lemonade video today for the second time ever... all about the bass, chorus, video, "swagger", showing off, chatting shit... BS music!!
