Dr. Dre's Ghostwriter's Quotables

#1
Now we all know that Dre had ghost writers. Ranging from The D.O.C, Ren, Cube, Snoop, Jay-z, Em ect. But when he rapped he was tight with it. But as far as verses goes. What is your favorite Dre ghostwriter verses? Mine are........

[Dr. Dre]
Now, gettin back to the PG
That's program, and it's easy
Dre is back, new jacks are made hollow
Expressin ain't their subject because they like to follow
the words, the style, the trend; the records I spin
Again and again and again - yo, you're on the other end
Whatch a brother blend dope rhymes, with no help
There's no fessin or guessin while I'm expressin myself
It's crazy to see people be
what society wants them to be, but not me
RUTHLESS, is the way to go, they know
Others say rhymes which fail to be original
or they kill where the hip-hop starts
Forget about the ghetto, and rap for the pop charts
Some musicians cuss at home
But scared to use profanity when upon the microphone
Yeah, they want reality, but you will hear none
They'd rather exaggerate a little fiction
Some say no to drugs, and take a stand
But after the show, they go lookin for the "Dopeman"
Or they ban my group from the radio
Hear N.W.A. and say, "Hell no!"
But you know it ain't all about wealth
As long as you make a note to.. {Express yourself!}

Dre:
Fatal approach to danger, just to remain a strangeler,
outrun, the shot of a gun with a ganger.
Murder in the first degree, but it's worse to be,
a dead motherfucker or a nigga in custody.
With everybody thinking of death I kept working,
to be one of the last niggaz left.
So many people looking for hope, they're broke,
without checking the fingerprints on the motherfuckers' throat.
A heart of steal can reveil the real nigga in me,
so figuring to see the D-E-A-D
bodies like a nigga's straight walking in a cemetary,
so it's very necesarry to carry ammunition for niggaz wishing,
but they better take caution, before Dre goes off,
and starts killing motherfuckers,
just in order to change the anger for the real nigga,
when I approach to danger

It's so on le the shit flow on
Because I need somethin' to go off on
The mothafuckin' D-R-E servin' a death wish
So I'm a hit you like this
Early in the morning hop into the B-enz
I got 44 wayz of gettin' paid
Sittin' in my lap as I roll off the Compton blocks
To skoop up Ren I heard shots -
1 2 3, Then I see the nigga
Hop in de Benz and it was Ren on the mothafuckin' trigger
He got in the Benz and said
"Dre I was speakin' to de bitch O'shey" [Ice Cube]
And as we roll on I seen the patrol on crip
So we got ghost because they beat
Me and Ren in de black CE, yo,
Poppin' some funky shit by de D.O.C
I gotta get paid, paid in a hurry see
I gotta have it if I'm not paid fully
I start takin', makin' sure my shit is steady bumpin'
A nigga'z ALWAYZ INTO SOMETHIN'

How do you know a verse is ghosted? Wouldn't a good ghostwriter never be known?
true....anywayz dre doesnt have that many ghostwriters he credits his lyrix writers cos no-1 would really believe he wrote raps.

ie just dippin with dre and snoop is credited to kurupt / bad azz / hittman. so snoop didnt write his own part either. ;)

DOC's car crash was good news for Dre.

I think all Dre's verses come tight. He's very particular about his ghost writers. Who wrote "Keep Their Heads Ringin'". I always thought the lyrics on there were dope.

J-Flexx wrote Keep Their Heads Ringin', and pretty much everything Dre did on DR after DOC left (Cali Luv, Natural Born Killaz, etc.)

Was it? I forgot about Sneed, he wrote a lot of stuff for Dre too. But J-Flexx claims credit for Natural Born Killaz, I guess he's a liar

^^^Well, I wouldn't go that far. I would say that J-Flexx is telling the truth about some of the songs he said he wrote, cuz you lisen to his style of rapping, it sounds pretty identical to Dre 94-96 era
